Bethenny Frankel: I Have ‘No Personal Vendetta Against’ Andy Cohen

Bethenny Frankel discusses her recent run-in with “charming” Andy Cohen amid their reality TV reckoning fight and addresses their complicated relationship.

For the last several months, Bethenny Frankel has been engaged in a one-sided feud with former boss Andy Cohen amid her fight for a reality TV reckoning.

But more recently the Real Housewives of New York alum seems to have changed her tune about Andy despite badmouthing him up and down over the last few months.

On Monday’s Just B with Bethenny Frankel podcast episode, the Skinnygirl mogul gushed about how “charming” the Bravo executive producer is while insisting she has “no personal vendetta against” Andy.

“I see Andy Cohen in the distance in a flannel talking to some guys, just like drinking a beer, I think,” Bethenny Frankel said of spotting Andy at iHeartRadio’s Jingle Ball concert in New York City last week.

“And … it’s too soon, you know for both of us I’m sure. But it’s like I know that we both have fond memories, and it’s confusing all around,” she continued before admitting that she had not approached her former boss.

“And I’m sure it’s confusing for him,” she noted.

Bethenny believes that she has made it “fairly clear” that she has “no personal vendetta against” Andy.

Instead, Bethenny claims she has an issue with the institution of reality TV as a whole and that Andy “reflects a sort of world” that she feels “got a little, in [her] opinion, out of control.”

Yet, seeing Andy at the Christmas-themed music event made her feel nostalgic, warm, and fuzzy.

“It’s the holidays and feeling sentimental. There’s no reason to, like, burn everything down to the ground,” she explained. “It’s not like I don’t find Andy very pleasant, very charming, very amusing, and [I] have, like, fond memories.”

Bethenny notes that despite all the unkind things she has said about Andy this past year, she’s “not delusional” about how wonderful Andy can be as a person.

Recently, the RHONY alum vowed never to return to reality TV again and insisted that Andy didn’t make her a star.

On ABC News’ “Impact x Nightline: Reality Reckoning?” special, now available on Hulu, Bethenny said: “He didn’t make me a star. He made himself a star on the backs of all of these women.”

Meanwhile, the 53-year-old recently revealed that her 13-year-old daughter Brynn Hoppy isn’t a fan of the show that made her famous, and because of that, she would NOT return to Real Housewives.

“I see reality television through a different lens because my daughter is embarrassed,” Bethenny Frankel told Stellar Magazine via DailyMail.com.

“There’s not a world where I would go back because she finds it trashy,” the Skinnygirl mogul added.

The former Bravolebrity appeared on the Real Housewives of New York for eight seasons. Bethenny left RHONY in 2010 after starring on the show for three seasons.

She and her now-ex-husband, Jason Hoppy, went on to star on their own Bravo spinoff show, Bethenny Ever After, which was a continuation of their multi-part wedding special, Bethenny Getting Married.

In 2015, Bethenny returned to the Real Housewives of New York for season 7. She went on to star in the series for five seasons before exiting the franchise in 2019.

Fast forward to 2021, when Bethenny launched her failed business-themed reality TV show, The Big Shot With Bethenny Frankel.

Since then, Bethenny has moved on to hosting two podcasts, including one that is Real Housewives-themed. She’s also become infamous on TikTok for her hot take on everything from food, beauty, fashion, pop culture, and more.

On of that, Bethenny launched her reality TV reckoning in 2023 as an effort to create a reality TV union and expose the ugly behind the scenes truth of reality TV, mainly Bravo and Real Housewives.
