The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star was spotted out and about with erika jayne rumored new man over the weekend.
There’s a lot of gossip and speculation going around about who Erika’s mystery man is; however, it seems most have gotten his identity wrong.
Some claim that Erika’s new sugar daddy is Michael Gaughan, 80, who owns the South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa in Las Vegas as well as the NASCAR team South Point Racing. Others believe Erika’s new beau is the very married Gary Winnic. Yet both those assumptions are very wrong.
Erika Jayne’s new man is actually 71-year-old attorney James Lewis Wilkes III, aka Jim Wilkes. Oddly enough, it seems that Wilkes is a former friend of Erika’s estranged husband, Tom Girardi. Interesting.
Wilkes posted a photo of him and Tom on his Instagram in 2016 as they had a business lunch together.
The attorney wrote:
“At lunch with Tom Girardi discussing SoCal gas fiasco. This was no accident. No moral defense. Thousands of lives damaged.”
It’s not surprising that the 51-year-old has a type – rich and older, but it is odd that she’s possibly dating someone who was a good friend and business associate of her estranged husband.
It turns out that Wilkes has his own issues with the law, much like Tom. Wilkes, who is a Tampa Bay area lawyer, was arrested during a domestic dispute in April at his $11 million South Tampa mansion.
Oddly enough, Wilkes gained his fortune and notoriety for suing nursing homes for claims of abuse and neglect. He has been featured in PEOPLE and on programs like Dateline for his work.
Wilkes was arrested and is facing criminal charges of “aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a felony, and misdemeanor battery,” according to the Tampa Bay Times.
The 71-year-old called 911, claiming that an unnamed woman hit him in the face during an argument. During the call, the 911 operator could hear the woman in the background screaming that Wilkes pulled a gun on her and fired two shots into the wall.
The unnamed woman, whose identity is protected due to Marsy’s Law, was not arrested, but police “filed a charge of battery on a person older than 65 against her,” which is currently under review by State Attorney’s Office. The charge is a third-degree felony.
Wilkes’ attorney, Ronald Kurpiers II, said his client was not guilty of the charges he currently faces.
“He was attacked, and he was defending himself,” Kurpiers said. “That’s the extent of it.”
Naturally, some Bravo fans have alleged that this unidentified woman is RHOBH star, Erika Jayne. It is important to point out that there is no proof to back up these claims. At this point in time, there are allegations and mere hearsay.
Speaking of Erika Jayne, she just wrapped filming for season 13 of RHOBH. She is also preparing for her upcoming Las Vegas residency.
Erika’s residency in Las Vegas will run from August 25 to December 16 at the House of Blues in the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.
“It’s amazing, and I’m so excited, and you must come,” the Pretty Mess singer told ET of her Las Vegas residency. “It’s a dream come true, actually. It’s a dream of mine to have a Vegas residency, and it’s happening,”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is expected to return for season 13 in late 2023.
