RHONJ star Melissa Gorga is giving Bravo fans their first look at her and Joe Gorga’s newly completed redone home in Franklin Lakes, NJ.
Over the weekend, Melissa Gorga shared photos showing off her freshly renovated Franklin Lakes, NJ home.
Melissa and her husband, Joe Gorga, have spent the last several months renovating their new home after receiving backlash and criticism from the Bravoverse for their design choices.
Bravo fans trolled Melissa and Joe‘s poorly designed new home, and its multiple pointed roofs and lack of symmetry – and that was just their thoughts on the outside of the home. The inside is a whole different ballgame.
The RHONJ couple moved into their Franklin Lakes home last November; however, less than two months later, they were renovating the exterior of their home.
Melissa and Joe took out a very large loan to make the necessary upgrades to their home. In April 2021, the Gorgas got a mortgage for $1.435M. With that money purchased the property on Indian Trail Dr and knocked down the previous home to build their current McMansion. Then in January 2023, the couple refinanced and took out an additional $565k on their house.
Back in April, AllAboutTRH obtained EXCLUSIVE photos of renovations that Joe and Melissa were making to their new Franklin Lakes home.
From the looks of it, Joe and Melissa were trying to give their home more dimension by adding a porch and an additional facade to the front of the house.
Now, Melissa Gorga is giving fans a first look at the finished work on her and Joe’s home.
In photos posted to Facebook, we see that the Gorga’s new home no longer has multiple pointed roofs. The RHONJ couple has created a more pleasing balance to their home by adding an extension that includes a front porch and additional windows.
See the photos for yourself.
Of course, Melissa gushed about her newly redone home in her post on Facebook.
“Finally finished. I’m so happy I found Dan & @planarchitecture so that when we could FINALLY resubmit our plans after all the COVID chaos that my true vision for this house could come to life…@joeygorga I know you wanted to kill me, but I’m so grateful for you to make this happen so soon after moving in.”
Melissa and Joe’s house looks a million times better, no doubt. It is funny that Melissa can’t just own the fact that she and Joe screwed up on the design of their home and needed to do a major overhaul with the help of a REAL architect. Clearly, Melissa couldn’t stand that her house was the laughing stock of the Bravoverse, and honestly, I can’t blame her because I’d be mortified as well. Melissa and Joe’s house looked horribly ugly before, but now it actually gives modern farmhouse vibes.
Hoping that Joe and Melissa are happy in their newly redone home!
