Ariana Madix Sues Ex Tom Sandoval To Force Sale of Their Home

Vanderpump Rules star Ariana Madix has filed a lawsuit against ex-boyfriend Tom Sandoval to force the sale of their Valley Village home.

The Scandoval drama continues to rage on.

Ariana Madix is suing Tom Sandoval over the Valley Village home they still co-own and live in together.

The 38-year-old filed a lawsuit against her ex-boyfriend in Los Angeles Superior Court, noting that they are at a stalemate over how to split their house.

According to TMZ, who obtained a copy of the court documents, Ariana Madix wants a “partition by sale,” which means the longtime reality TV star wants a judge to order the exes to sell their home and split the proceeds of the sale.

In the filing, Ariana Madix made it clear that she doesn’t want a “division in kind,” which would allow each of them to retain their interest in the home while allowing one of them to sell their stake to a third party.

Basically, the Dancing With the Stars alum just wants to sell the property and have both her and Tom move on with their lives.

Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix purchased their San Fernando Valley home in 2019 for around $2 million after six years of dating.

In December 2023, Ariana Madix set the record straight on the Vanderpump Rules season 11 clip about Tom Sandoval’s attempts to buy her out of their home.

Vanderpump Rules fans jumped to all sorts of conclusions over a season 11 clip of Tom SandovalKatie Maloney, and Ariana Madix  Ariana and Tom’s highly complex living situation as the exes continue to share their Valley Village, CA, home.

“I feel the house is the last thing tying things. What I think is psychotic is that he wants to buy me out and stay here,” Ariana told Katie, 36, in the clip. “I’m sorry, but then you don’t have to move, and I do?”

Katie was baffled and questioned Tom’s motives in wanting to keep his and Ariana’s shared home following their split.

“If he has that kind of money, go buy something else,” she quips.

In another clip, Ariana explained why she wasn’t interested in selling the house to Tom.

“What, are you going to bring your little pen pal back over here? I don’t f–king think so,” she said in her confessional. “From what I can tell, Tom and Rachel are still very much together because they’re sending mail and packages back and forth to each other. She even sent a postcard with lighting bolts all over it. Get a new bit already.”

However, after fans questioned her reasoning, the Pump Rules star set the record straight on Instagram.

“WE COUNTERED BC HIS OFFER WAS TRASH AND GOT NOTHING BACK Jesus y’all, it’s gonna be a long season,” Ariana commented.

Ariana and Tom called it quits in March after nearly a decade of dating following Tom’s affair with their Pump Rules co-star Rachel “Raquel” Leviss. After the news of Scandoval broke, Rachel checked herself into a mental health facility for treatment but stayed in touch with Tom via letters. The two planned to continue their romance, but after Rachel checked out of treatment, she parted ways with Tom and revealed she wouldn’t return to Pump Rules for season 11.

The former Pump Rules couple have been dodging questions about their living situation since their breakup.

A month after his breakup with Ariana, Tom admitted he had nowhere else to go.

“I don’t have a lot of friends I can stay with right now. … I kind of run the house,” he said on the “Howie Mandel Does Stuff” podcast in April. “I handle the gardening [and] the housekeeping. My assistant comes and cleans and stocks everything. I basically run everything in the house.”

“[Ariana’s] in the house. This is a big house. We have a go-between. We text when we’re coming and going,” he continued. “The house is not listed yet, no. [Ariana’s] really busy right now; she’s obviously blowing up. I’m really happy to see that. I’ve been busy as well trying to get things together.”

In recent months, Ariana has defended her decision to continue living in her home.

“I have never been someone who came from money. I know how quickly that goes away,” she said on her Pump Rules costar Scheana Shay‘s “Scheananigans” podcast in August. “I’m taking care of myself. … I have a pretty decent setup. My room is kind of like my little apartment. I stay in my own little zone.”

She continued: “I sleep a lot easier at night not giving a f–k about when he is coming through that door. That is one thing I have to say about us living in the same house. I don’t have to think about how he is coming into my bedroom because he is not. I sleep with my door locked. Just in case.”

More recently, Ariana shared on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen that Tom and his lawyer were holding up the process of her moving.

“I’m working on the situation with the ownership of the house,” she shared. “I would love for that to be resolved quickly, so if [his lawyer] Joe Weiner could really get back to my lawyer, that’d be great.”

Vanderpump Rules premires on Jan. 30 at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
