RHOSLC’s Heather Gay & Monica Garcia Are Suing Each Other – Get all the Tea!

RHOSLC star Heather Gay's opinion on new co-star Monica Garcia has changed drastically.

RHOSLC star Heather Gay’s Beauty Lab sues Monica Garcia for unpaid bills as Monica countersues for “botched injections” on nose and lips.

The U.S. Sun reports that a major legal battle is going down between Real Housewives of Salt Lake City stars Monica Garcia and Heather Gay.

According to a new lawsuit, the two RHOSLC stars are at war with each other over a yet-to-air fallout between the two.

In August, Heather Gay’s company, Beauty Lab + Laser, filed a lawsuit against RHOSLC newbie Monica Garcia for “breach of contract and breach of the covenant of good faith and fair dealing.”

Beauty Lab + Laser claims in legal documents that Monica signed a contract with them on December 10, 2019, to pay $2,449 for cosmetic injection services. The RHOSLC newbie only paid the initial payment of $449, including the $49 set-up fee and $400 down payment.

Monica was supposed to make $200 monthly payments over the next ten months, which she failed to do.

Beauty Lab + Laser claims they “suffered, and continues to suffer, significant losses and damages” due to the RHOSLC newbie’s lack of payment.

They would like the court to determine how much “not less than $2,000” Monica should pay them to cover their loss. Beauty Lab + Laser also requests that Monica cover their “attorney’s fees and other remedies provided by statute or contract.”

In September, the RHOSLC newbie countersued Beauty Lab + Laser. She later amended her response to Beauty Lab + Laser’s lawsuit and filed a counterclaim on November 7.

Monica sued Beauty Lab + Laser for “breach of independent duty of care, breach of contract, and breach of duty of good faith and fair dealing.”

In her filing, Monica admits she did make an initial payment of $449. As for why she did not continue to make monthly payments, Monica claims she “received defective, negligently given injections, which did not have the intended, promised result.”

Due to the “botched” injections, the RHOSLC newbie had to go to another “competent party to fix the damage” to her nose and lips. She does note that Beauty Lab offered to fix the damaged nose and lips.

She said: “The parties reached an oral accord and satisfaction wherein Monica paid for another, competent party to fix the damage to Monica’s nose and lips caused by the incompetent, negligent actions of Beauty Lab’s staff, and Beauty Lab was entitled to no further payment.”

Monica claims that Beauty Lab “promised” they would not seek further payment from her since she “suffered more damages” than they occurred.

The 40-year-old alleges that the injections into her nose were done “in a negligent, medically deficient manner” that “diminished” her appearance, adding that “the appearance of Monica’s lips was not improved.”

On top of these claims, the RHOSLC newbie also alleges that Beauty Lab’s lawsuit results from its owner, Heather Gay’s “personal animosity” toward her.

In her court filing, Monica stated:

“Beauty Lab’s complaint has been made because of the personal animosity towards Monica of Heather Gay, an officer and director of Heatherentertainment, Inc., a member of Beauty Lab and Laser, LLC, not because of the claims in the complaint, which Beauty Lab and Heather Gay know to be unfounded.”

Monica is seeking less than $50,000 in damages, asking that the court decide the amount owed for the “consequential damages [she] has suffered.” She also requests that Beauty Lab pay her attorney fees and any other legal fees she occurs.

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season 4 airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.

If Monica had issues with her injections then why didn’t she notify B.L. that she was having a reaction?

Of course poor victim Monica, who whines about money and everything else, wants to get out of paying her bill. Having a long term affair with a family (in-law) member, no less, shows how naturally untrustworthy she is and that was before she was on the show. Pay your bills or prove you have damages in court (she won't).

TeamMonica! All you have to do is look at the work Heather has done to her face to know NOT to go to her.

Not sure. Heather looks pretty good this season. But as always, she would look better with a few less pounds. I think that's coming because she looked thinner at BravoCon.

Idk. Heather’s face was challenging (and I’m not trying to be shady) because it had/has a masculine esthetic to it. I do think she was able to soften that somewhat, just my opinion. HOWEVER, when you start effing with your face, it often starts a snowball effect of, ‘if a little is good, more is better’ and/or ‘well now that I’ve fixed this, I want to fix that’ and before you know it…? https://media0.giphy.com/media/frODPRNskcG52/giphy-downsized-small.mp4

Well that was her mistake for going. Unless she can prove damages, she has to pay the bill. Sounds like she just had buyer's remorse, not to mention couldn't afford it in the first place and probably planned to stiff them from the beginning because that is the kind of person she portrays herself to be.

Wow, now we know why Heather says that all Monica does is lie. I have no idea why anyone would sue for 2K given the cost and time that's involved. I do think that Monica is right about Heather doing this because she doesn't like Monica and maybe this is why she doesn't like her. Clearly, Heather thinks Monica scammed her company by getting free injections and not paying. But this will also hurt Heather's company so she should have just written it off and moved on.

I agree. Plus, without knowing what the issues (if any) with Monica’s procedures actually were, it sounds like it could have been mostly or entirely a difference of opinion re: esthetics. In other words, the injector used her/his best judgment in what would be esthetically pleasing and Monica’s opinion differed. It’s better for Heather that people assume that’s the case than it would be if Monica were able to prove incompetence or negligence as the reason. It’s more of a gamble to take this to court than to cut your losses and permanently drop Monica as a client imo because a ruling against Heather in court would be far more damaging than swallowing what amounts to pocket change all things considered.
