RHOP alum Katie Rost checked herself into rehab for alcohol abuse after relapsing following a year of sobriety: “Things got a little out of control.”
Katie Rost has entered rehab – again.
“I did really, really well for a long period of time and then had some stressors in my life this past month, and things got a little out of control, and I started drinking again,” the RHOP alum revealed in a video posted to Twitter on Tuesday.
“I also went off my medication, so that caused some problems,” Katie Rost added.
The former reality TV star explained that she checked herself into rehab “with the help of [her] friends and family” for “alcohol use disorder.”
“I’m doing great, I’m out of withdrawal, and things are looking really good,” the 43-year-old noted.
On Tuesday, the RHOP OG joked on Instagram that this “isn’t [her] first rodeo” while airing some grievances with the rehab’s “rules.”
“This isn’t my first rodeo, but some of the rules of rehab just crack me up. Like, can I get a real hair brush for the love of G-d!?! And some conditioner that’s bigger than two inches ya’ll? I drank too much for like 4 days, maybe 5 days ?It wasn’t an actual homicide that was committed! #rehab #jokes from the best #katievibes,” Katie Rost wrote alongside a selfie.
We can happily report that Katie did get access to the hair products she needed, thanks to her mom and nurses, who trusted her enough to use a Dyson hairdryer.
Katie Rost first went to rehab in October 2022 to “kick alcohol and Adderall in a medical setting.” At the time, the RHOP OG explained that she had been on the ADHD medication since the age of 12.
After completing rehab, the former Bravo star began working a minimum-wage job in retail, making $14/hr.
As Bravo fans know, Katie Rost starred in season one of RHOP. Shen then was a guest during season 2. During season 4, Katie appeared on RHOP as an official “friend of” the Housewives before appearing as a guest again in season 7.
Since then, Katie has begged Andy Cohen and Bravo to bring her back to RHOP.
“I do want a job. And I swear I will totally behave,” Katie wrote via Instagram in April 2022. “I’m also sorry for my temper tantrums. I feel no thirst. I just want to work.”
