Lisa Barlow fires back at claims she “overreacted” to losing her $60k ring. Plus, she gives an update on the missing bauble.
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake star lost one of her pricey sparkling rings in the airport bathroom while traveling on a girl’s trip to Palm Springs, California.
“My ring — it is totally gone,” Lisa Barlow said in the RHOSLC season 4 episode, “Vacation Crashers.” “I am pulling up my jeans, and I feel my ring start to slip off my finger. And I felt like I caught it, and then I looked, and I’m like, ‘Oh, my gosh, my ring is missing.’”
“I literally stayed in that bathroom for at least 45 minutes,” she continued in her confessional. “What a s*** way to start this trip. I still can’t even believe this just happened to me.”
Lisa Barlow wouldn’t stop complaining about the loss of her ring, which began to annoy her Real Housewives of Salt Lake City co-stars.
During dinner in Palm Springs, newbie Monica Garcia called out Lisa Barlow for continuing to go on about her ring.
“It was hard to listen all day to you losing a $60,000 ring,” Monica said. “I feel for you. I tried to help you. Girl, I reached my hand in a tampon box for you. I’m just saying, be aware.”
She continued, “You have a $60,000 ring; I have a $100 ring. That’s very different. I get it’s hard for you, and you’re very emotional, but just be aware. You’re very blessed. That’s all I’m saying, so just be aware that some people aren’t.”
Lisa Barlow clapped back at Monica in her confessional.
“When you can afford to buy a $58,000 ring, you’ll care about it too. Shut the f*** up,” she said.
Many fans couldn’t help but agree with Monica.
“How does anyone have a ring that costs that much yet hasn’t sized it? Or are we just thinking like poor people?” one fan commented.
“Every time Lisa Barlow says, ‘my 60k ring,’ this immediately comes into my mind #RHOSLC,” another fan wrote alongside a gif of RHOBH’s Dana Wilkey boasting about her $25k sunglasses.
Later on, the RHOSLC OG clapped back at fans and her co-stars on Twitter.
Lisa tweeted:
“Hope everyone is having an amazing day …. with exclusion to the f****** who think I overreacted to losing my ring less than 8 hours prior to that amazing dinner at Cary Grant’s estate.”
Turns out Lisa never found her ring but did buy herself a replacement one. She noted that her new ring doesn’t have the same “sentimental” value as her husband, John Barlow, got it for her.
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season 4 airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
