Kelly Dodd isn’t happy about being name-dropped on a recent episode of WWHL and claims she was unfairly “disparaged” on the show.
Real Housewives of Orange County alum Kelly Dodd was the topic of conversation on the August 2 episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen when her former co-stars Vicki Gunvalson and Shannon Beador were guests on the late-night talk show.
During the episode of WWHL, the manager of the beloved OC bar, The Quiet Woman, Julius, played bartender for the night, and he had quite a bit to say about Kelly Dodd. Julius revealed that Kelly Dodd is his least favorite RHOC cast member, leaving Kelly upset and unhappy over the diss.
After Julius’ revelation, Kelly Dodd texted Andy Cohen, and, of course, Andy read the text aloud on air.
“Kelly Dodd texted,” Andy told Julius before taking a long pause. “Oh, she is complimenting how I look.” He then added, “She is upset that you said he liked you the least because she said she is friends with all the staff.”
Julius replied, “She is. I just don’t give her the attention that she demands, and she doesn’t like that.”
After WWHL finished filming, Vicki Gunvalson sent a video apology from Julius to Kelly. In the clip, Julius jokingly claims that he didn’t mean the diss and that Bravo told him to say it.
“Hi, Kelly. It was on the prompter. I had no say,” Julius said in the clip. Vicki added: “He didn’t mean it. He loves you. He wants you to come back and says you’re always welcome at the quiet woman.”
Kelly Dodd’s anger over Julius’ diss didn’t stop there. The Bravoleb went on to slam Julius on her Instagram page before turning her attention to Bravo.
“Shame on you, Julius @thequietwomancdm I don’t deserve to be disparaged in this way!! I’ve brought countless people to the restaurant over the years and never asked for anything more than a table to sit down and eat and drink. I have great relationships with the staff, and have no idea why you’d say that about me. It’s disheartening, disappointing, and unfair. It was never in the prompter, LIAR! Yeah, but I guess you’re entitled to your own opinion. #bravotv #rhoc #wwhl,” Kelly fired off on her Instagram.
In a separate post, Kelly accused Bravo of taking down her RHOC recap from YouTube. While recapping RHOC, Kelly also dished about the drama from WWHL. Kelly accused Shannon Beador of bringing Julius on WWHL in order to have a “moment.”
“Please watch my Daily Smash YouTube show & support our channel! NBC Universal had our #RHOC Recap yanked off YouTube because they didn’t like me using the clip where THEY TALKED ABOUT ME!!!” Kelly wrote alongside the clip.
Kelly went on to claim that Shannon Beador has had zero storylines during the past two seasons and has “no star power,” so she needs to use her name in order to attract some attention.
However, Vicki denied Kelly’s claims and insisted that Shannon had nothing to do with Julius’ diss.
“Kelly – Shannon has nothing to do with this. Julius wanted to go on WWHL – beyond that, she said nothing against you. This was 100% Julius,” Vicki commented on Kelly’s post.
The Real Housewives of Orange County airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on Bravo.
