NeNe Leakes Shades Bravo After She’s Cut Out of RHOA Flashback Scene

It’s no secret that NeNe Leakes is the house that built RHOA, but Bravo isn’t interested in giving her credit anymore amid her legal fight against the network.

So nasty, so rude! OG RHOA star NeNe Leakes was recently erased from a flashback scene that aired on the Sunday, June 11, episode of season 15.

The latest episode of RHOA kicked off with a flashback of the season 4 intro from 2012. Season 4 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta starred NeNe Leakes, Kim Zolciak, Cynthia Bailey, Kandi Burruss, Sheree Whitfield, and Phaedra Parks.

As the episode aired, fans quickly noticed that Bravo cut NeNe out of the season 4 opening intro.

Naturally, fans had a lot to say about Bravo doing NeNe dirty like that!

“This was disrespectful,” one Bravo fan wrote on Twitter. “NeNe was part of putting #RHOA [on] the map! Not this erasure!”

“No matter how much editing they do, they can’t erase NeNe, and everyone knows it,” a second fan shared on Twitter. “She’s the most iconic housewife (any franchise).”

Another fan quipped: “Lemme just say this, Gregg… Nene didn’t just put RHOA on the map, she put ‘Real Housewives’ and Bravo on the map. They owe her everything. Trying to erase her legacy is petty, embarrassing, and kinda solidifies her allegations of bullying.”

After being tagged in numerous posts about the diss, NeNe responded to Bravo with some shade of her own.

“Thank you tweetie pies for all of your DM’s and comments,” she tweeted. “I see everything you are sending to me! It’s really just a shame people can do these things and get away [with] it. If only you really knew! If only you knew.”

Days later, the 55-year-old elaborated on her feelings in a video on social media.

NeNe starred on the Real Housewives of Atlanta from 2008 to 2020. Before exiting the franchise, NeNe played a pivotal role in seasons 1 to 7 and 10 to 12 of RHOA. NeNe was and is the biggest breakout star of the franchise. Her shade and quippy one-liners secured her a spot in Housewives history while also making her a household name.

She went on to build quite the acting resume, starring in shows like Glee, The New Normal, and even playing Glinda the Good Witch in The Wizard of Oz on Broadway.

Despite NeNe’s success and popularity, her relationship with Bravo and Real Housewives executive producer Andy Cohen turned sour when she sued them both for discrimination in 2022. NeNe’s lawsuit named NBCUniversal, True Entertainment, Truly Original, and Andy Cohen in the lawsuit.

NeNe claims that Andy and Bravo are “racist” and that they blacklisted her from getting other work following her exit from RHOA.

NBC, Bravo, and True foster a corporate and workplace culture in which racially insensitive and inappropriate behavior is tolerated — if not encouraged,” NeNe’s lawsuit claimed.

Eventually, the lawsuit was settled out of court, with the details of the agreement being kept under wraps. However, NeNe has since begged Bravo to leave her name out of their mouths, and it seems that that the former Bravoleb finally got her wish.

It is safe to say that NeNe will NOT be returning to the Real Housewives of Atlanta or Bravo anytime soon.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs on Sundays at 8 pm on Bravo.
