Despite the rumor mill suggesting otherwise, Erika Jayne is NOT dating attorney Jim Wilkes.
A rep for the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star tells AllAboutTRH that Jim Wilkes is Erika Jayne’s “lawyer and family friend of over 20 years” and nothing more.
This statement from Erika Jayne‘s rep comes shortly after the longtime Bravoleb’s former RHOBH co-star Teddi Mellencamp commented on Erika’s rumored relationship with Wilkes.
On the May 30th episode of the Two T’s in a Pod podcast, co-host Tamra Judge asked Teddi: “Is she in a romantic relationship with this guy, or is he her attorney?”
“I was like, ‘I just want to get to the bottom of this.’ So I sent Erika a text this morning. I was like, ‘So, tell it to me like it is.’ And she wrote, ‘Lol, it’s absolutely ridiculous,’” Teddi said. “She does a smiley face, and she writes, ‘Jim Wilkes is my lawyer and longtime family friend.’ And I believe her.”
Tamra replied, “You heard it here first, people.”
Erika Jayne and the 72-year-old Tampa Bay attorney first sparked dating rumors on Sunday after the two were photographed strolling through Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on Sunday, according to Page Six.
The day after Erika and Wilkes’ outing, the attorney posted a photo with his wife, Jessica Collins, on Instagram. Wilkes filed for divorce from Collins in March 2021, but it seems they have reconciled since then.
The reality TV star is in the midst of divorcing her estranged husband and now-disgraced attorney, Tom Girardi, who is a longtime friend and associate of Wilkes.
Like Girardi, Wilkes has his own issues with the law. He was arrested during a domestic dispute in April at his $11 million South Tampa mansion and faces criminal charges of “aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a felony, and misdemeanor battery,” according to the Tampa Bay Times.
Meanwhile, U.S. Sun reports that Wilkes has been helping Erika Jayne financially amid her divorce from Girardi. The very wealthy Tampa Bay attorney allegedly sent Erika Jayne $500,000.
