Erika Jayne‘s new relationship may be a love triangle, as her new man shared a photo with his wife on Instagram following their date.
Just days after Erika Jayne was spotted out and about with her rumored new man, Jim Wilkes, the 72-year-old Tampa Bay attorney posted a photo with his wife on Instagram.
“My wife and me. Having a nice moment,” Wilkes captioned the black and white selfie of him and his much younger wife, Jessica Collins.
Oddly enough, Erika Jayne “liked” the photo.
As AllAboutTRH previously reported, Erika Jayne and Wilkes were spotted out together on the weekend. The two were photographed strolling through Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on Sunday, according to Page Six.
Erika Jayne is in the midst of divorcing her estranged husband and now-disgraced attorney, Tom Girardi, who is a longtime friend and associate of Wilkes.
Wilkes filed for divorce from his wife, Jessica Collins, in March 2021. However, it seems the two may have reconciled despite his questionable relationship with Erika Jayne.
The U.S. Sun reports that Wilkes has been helping Erika Jayne financially amid her divorce from Girardi. The very wealthy Tampa Bay attorney allegedly sent Erika Jayne $500,000.
Court documents obtained by the outlet read:
“Erika filed a summary judgment motion to get herself out of the case, and in response, the law firm noted that Erika was receiving hundreds of thousands of dollars for her legal fees from an attorney named James Lewis Wilkes, II, via Wilkes’ law firm.”
It’s not surprising that the 51-year-old has a type – rich and older, but it is odd that she’s possibly dating someone who was a good friend and business associate of her estranged husband.
It turns out that Wilkes has his own issues with the law, much like Girardi. Wilkes, who is a Tampa Bay area lawyer, was arrested during a domestic dispute in April at his $11 million South Tampa mansion.
In April 2023, Wilkes was arrested and is facing criminal charges of “aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a felony, and misdemeanor battery,” according to the Tampa Bay Times.
Wilkes gained his fortune and notoriety for suing nursing homes for claims of abuse and neglect. He has been featured in PEOPLE and on programs like Dateline for his work.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is expected to return for season 13 in late 2023.
