Crystal Minkoff is reportedly “devastated” after being fired from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Get all the details.
More details about Crystal Minkoff’s exit from RHOBH have come to light and we are now learning that she is “devastated” after being fired from the hit Bravo series.
“She was fired because she didn’t deliver,” an insider tells Us Weekly. “Producers told her she doesn’t have a storyline, so they had to let her go.”
The 41-year-old confirmed her departure from RHOBH on Monday, April 15 via Instagram.
“I just wanted to share the news that I will not be coming back to film season 14 of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. It’s very bittersweet,” the 41-year-old said in her Instagram video post. “Never did I think I would have been asked to do the show in a million years, let alone film it for three seasons. Every single year I was asked back, it was a blessing. It was an honor.”
Crystal Minkoff, who joined RHOBH during season 11, noted that “being the first Asian American on Beverly Hills was a lot of weight on my shoulders.”
“I have since just have really understood the magnitude of what that meant for people,” she continued. “I just wanted to thank you guys for being such an incredible support for me, and I hope that I have been for you, sharing my story with my ED [eating disorder], sharing stories about my father and his Alzheimer’s. I’ve heard so many incredible stories from you guys.”
Despite the claims made above other reports insist that Crystal isn’t upset over being fired from RHOBH.
“They don’t want her back because they feel she has done all she can do on the show and she no longer has much to add to the drama, so another contract has not been offered,” an insider told DailyMail.com. “They appreciate her contributions to the show, and the parting is not ugly, but it just is time to move on.”
“She wanted to leave the show for a while, she is sick of all the fighting and hashing things out, it became like a never-ending rollercoaster for her. Plus she wants to focus on her family away from the cameras.”
Production for season 14 of RHOBH reportedly begins in April.
RHOBH is expected to return to Bravo in late 2024 or early 2025.
