Kyle Richards hopes to reconnect with her sister Kathy Hilton while filming season 13 of RHOBH.
While Kathy has yet to film for season 13, Kyle is hopeful that they will eventually make peace and reconcile perhaps with the help other their sister, Kim Richards, who has been spotted filming for the upcoming season of RHOBH.
“We’ll get there one day, you know, it takes time,” Kyle tells PEOPLE. “Family’s complicated. You know, we’re no different than anybody else except we’re in the public eye. But, we’ve gone through hard times before and we’ve always come back together. So that’s the hope.”
Kyle adds that she has yet to meet her niece Paris Hilton’s son, Phoenix.
“I have not seen baby Phoenix. I wish I could say that I have, but I haven’t. I’ve seen pictures and he is beautiful and perfect, just like she was when she [Paris Hilton] was a baby,” she admits.
Speaking of fallouts, Kyle went on to reveal that she hasn’t seen Lisa Rinna since they wrapped filming for season 12 of RHOBH in the fall of 2022.
“Uh, well, we had sort of a falling out last season with what happened with my sister, so obviously, that changed a lot of things,” Kyle tells Pages Six. “I haven’t seen her, but we’ve sent each other text messages and DMs.”
The RHOBH OG did note that she “reached out” to Rinna when she “found out” about her exit from the show.
“I don’t like to hold onto any negativity,” the Bravolebrity insists. “I just want to move on from that.”
Meanwhile, Kyle also addressed the recent attacks on her marriage to Mauricio Umansky. Rumors began to swirl that the RHOBH couple was divorcing after Kyle was spotted with out her wedding ring on while out and about in Los Angeles.
“It started all from a stupid picture of me without a ring on,” Kyle notes.
“A, I haven’t been wearing my big diamond ring, because there’s a lot of crime these days and I’m like, ‘I’m not comfortable,’” she continued. “And B, I had just come from the gym lifting weights, so I was like, ‘That thing sparked that?’ I don’t know.”
Kyle adds that she and Mauricio are “unbothered,” by the gossip however, Kyle admits that in the past she “struggled” when her marriage was brought up on the show.
“Kathy Hilton Statement “When this stuff would come up before, I would like, cry and I was devastated. But now, I’m more like, ‘OK, I’ve done this before. Let’s do this. Bring it on. Come on. Let’s see what you got for me here.”
Despite Kyle’s acceptance of the rumors as part of her job, she still isn’t looking forward to dealing with the gossip and speculation all over again when season 13 airs on Bravo later this year.
“Obviously, you don’t love that because when the show airs in six months, I will be dealing with this and people are going to be talking again and more fake stories and lies. It’s just really frustrating.”
RHOBH is expected to return for season 13 in late 2023 or early 2024.
