Teddi Mellencamp Slams Garcelle Beauvais; Says Garcelle’s Comment About Kyle and Kathy’s Relationship Was ‘Mean Spirited’

Teddi Mellencamp has her BFF Kyle Richards’ back no matter what.

The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star stuck up for her best friend after Garcelle Beauvais claimed she’s closer to Kyle’s sister Kathy Hilton than Kyle is.

On a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Andy Cohen asked Garcelle: “Do you think you and Kathy Hilton are closer than she is with Kyle right now?”

Garcelle replied, “Absolutely.”

This response didn’t sit well with many, including Kyle, Teddi, and many RHOBH fans.

Teddi and her podcast co-host Tamra Judge addressed the drama on a recent episode of their podcast, Two T’s in a Pod.

The former Real Housewives of Orange County star brought up Garcelle’s remark, saying, “So Andy asks Garcelle, do you think Kathy Hilton – do you think you are closer to Kathy Hilton than Kyle is right now, and she said absolutely.”

The All-In founder admitted that Garcelle’s comments “made [her] feel really sad.” 

“They are family, and how do you say something like that without a little bit of remorse and not to mention, but they’ve been a lifetime of being sisters, and Garcelle has filmed two seasons with [Hilton]. And the way she said it, and she was like all proud,” Teddi explained. 

She went on to call Garcelle’s comment “mean-spirited” and questioned her intention.

“Here’s the thing, Garcelle, why are you so proud that you are closer with somebody’s sister? To me, that was mean, mean-spirited,” Teddi quipped.
