Former Beverly Hills Housewife Camille Grammer calls out Erika Jayne’s tears about her divorce and legal issues.
On Wednesday’s episode of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, fans saw Erika react to being accused of stealing settlement funds as news of her and estranged husband Tom Girardi’s legal drama first came to light in the press.
In November 2020, Erika filed for divorce from Tom after 20 plus years of marriage. A month later the former couple was named in a lawsuit that accused them of stealing settlement funds intended for the families of victims killed in a 2018 plane crash. The lawsuit also claimed that Tom and Erika are trying to hide their assets with their sham of a divorce.
During this week’s episode, Erika unpacked the drama with her co-stars and insisted she didn’t know anything about Tom’s legal issues.
“I kept asking. And I was continuously shut out. I [pleaded], I begged, I tried. I pushed as hard as I could until I couldn’t push anymore,” she said.
She also claims that Tom avoided the topic whenever she brought it up.
“Two years ago, when I was named in a lawsuit in Arizona, I was like, ‘I didn’t do anything.’ When I went home and I was like, ‘What is this?,’ he said, ‘Just bulls—t. Don’t worry about it.’ When I pressed further? ‘I don’t want to talk about it.’ I know how mean and how vicious and how utterly dismissive Tom is. Tom wins. You lose. The end. That’s the way it’s always been,” she explained in her confessional interview.
After the episode aired, fans questioned Erika’s tears and the support she received from the RHOBH cast.
Camille called her former co-stars “hypocritical” while also hinting that Erika’s tears may be fake.
“Thoughts on how the cast treated Denise last year with her story vs how they are treating Erika?” a fan asked Camille to which she replied, “Hypocritical.”
Another fan commented, “I wish you were there to yell “Shut it down!!” every time Erika started to cry.”
Camille said, “We filmed in the Bahamas season 9 and we were all swimming in the water. I don’t remember seeing EJ’s mascara run after swimming underwater. Just saying.”
She later clarified her comments and made it clear that she thinks Erika’s tears were real.
“I believe she was crying. I agree. She’s upset. Going through a divorce is [an] awful experience no matter what,” she tweeted.
Meanwhile, Lisa Rinna jumped in to defend Erika.
“Oh someone needs attention, ok sweetie #YouAreStillAnAssholeOnTwitter,” Lisa said.
