Stassi Schroeder, star of Vanderpump Rules, revealed she gave up the prescription drug Adderall after watching herself meltdown at loved ones on the show. Stassi revealed this during the final part of the season 7 reunion. According to WebMD, Adderall is a medication designed to treat Attention Deficit Disorder. It is also misused recreationally as a stimulant and can be very addicting. Stassi and the cast were in Mexico for a vacation and she got into arguments with her boyfriend, Beau Clark. This led to Stassi making some changes!
He said, “I think it’s old stuff and her insecurities combined together with alcohol and it all comes out, and she just needs to trust in herself and trust in us. But I don’t think it’s some deep thing that it’s her persona. It’s not Stassi.” Stassi said she wanted to find out the cause of everything. Stassi said, “I want to figure out what it is that’s making me like this. And I hurt my friends, I hurt him, I hurt myself, and that was a moment where I was like, and I didn’t want to like full-on come out and say this, but I’m not gonna take Adderall again. Like, I’m not gonna do that.”
Andy asked, “So would you say you’ve stopped taken it or are you taking it less?”
Stassi answered, “No, I’ve stopped taking it.” Beau added, “I was like done.”
Stassi and Beau both agreed that “yes” she has changed since she stopped taking it.
Stassi also opened up about her relationship with her mother after her mom made hurtful on-camera comments. She encouraged Stassi to not be herself in her relationship and “mess it up.” Her mom also said that she hoped that Stassi would be “half the woman” her friend Kristen Doute is. Kristen had slept with Stassi’s boyfriend during earlier seasons of the show. Stassi is no longer with Jax Taylor, nor is Kristen. Jax is engaged to Pump Rules co-star, Brittany Cartwright.
Stassi explained, “We didn’t speak for like eight months. And it was only until this past weekend that I went to my sister’s bridal shower. We finally talked, and she apologized for everything and took responsibility and ownership for everything, and we both cried, and it was awesome, and I’m really happy about it because I’ve really missed my mom. So that was really, really nice.”
I love watching the Vanderpump Rules crew! I’m glad that everything is going good for Stassi. I’m already looking forward to next season.
