Karen Huger, star of The Real Housewives of Potomac, recently appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen to discuss everything about the new season. The Grand Dame dished on her relationships with her fellow RHOP co-stars, including fellow OG, Gizelle Bryant. Karen also weighed in on Ashley Darby’s husband and the allegations surrounding him. The RHOP are back with a bang and we are in for a super good season!
For starters, Karen is “very disappointed” in Ashley Darby’s husband, Michael Darby. She didn’t attend the party for Ashley’s uncle in the recent episode of the RHOP, because she was having family night at home. When she saw Robyn Dixon claim in the episode that she heard Ashley’s husband, Michael, make a shocking remark about another man – Karen was disappointed. Robyn said, “I remember hearing out of Michael’s mouth, ‘Yeah, I would suck his d***.'” Karen said that the charges against Michael are allegedly dropped. However; Karen said “I need Michael to clean up his act, though.” Karen said these words have come out of his own month. Karen said, “I’m very disappointed to see that, to be honest.”
Ashley had addressed Michael’s alleged comment at her uncle’s party during an interview with Bravo’s The Daily Dish prior to the airing of the episode. Ashley said, “When I hear that Robyn is going to talk about what Michael supposedly said about wanting to suck someone’s dick, the issue there is that there’s a discrepancy in relation to what Chris [Bassett] heard, what Candiace [Dillard Bassett] heard, and what Robyn heard. So three people who were supposedly [there] at the same time to hear the same thing heard different things. And allegedly, the conversation was had with Chris, who heard something completely different than what Robyn is saying Michael said.”
Ashley said she has doubts about the accuracy of Robyn’s statement because she and Candiace Dillard had been drinking that night. Ashley explained, “I’d really like to see this episode because like, I remember how things are happening then because I didn’t drink. Everyone else got hammered drunk throughout the night, but because it was my uncle’s party I stayed fairly sober. So I really did try to contain myself and everyone else went ham. So I was pretty sober, and I thought, ‘I have a pretty good recollection as to what’s happening and what everyone said.’ So that really caught me off-guard because I was there, and if I didn’t hear that and I was more sober than you, who should I really trust: my own ears or your limoncello ears?”
Which one of her RHOP co-stars could she never be friends with? Karen laughed and answered, “Actually, I don’t lose hope on women, I don’t, even Ashley.” Karen added, “I pray for Ashley.”
Would Karen and Gizelle’s friendship go back to the way it used to be? Karen said, “Let me answer honestly, the Gizelle now, I don’t know her. I knew Gizelle a long time ago and if that Gizelle returns, I’m open to it.” Andy then asked, “How long ago was it?” “10 years ago,” Karen answered.
I’m thrilled that the RHOP are back! I enjoy this franchise. They bring the entertainment.
