Say it isn’t so! First rumors were circulating that Andy would be leaving late-night for Live! With Kelly and now it is being reported that he may have another new late-night show in the works. So what’s going on with the king of midnight fun?
Although Andy’s passion is his hit show WWHL (for our exclusive behind the scenes look at the show click
here) it has been announced that Andy will be making an appearance at another late-night show. Fear not, we will still get to see him chat up our beloved housewives as this is only a guests appearance and not a full time gig.
Per Bravo, Andy will be a guest star on the “upcoming Pop comedy Nightcap. The new show is executive-produced by and stars Ali Wentworth as the head talent booker of the fictional late night talk show Nightcap with Jimmy and follows all of the behind-the-scenes shenanigans of the staff and celebrity guests, one of whom will be Andy.”
I’m a huge fan of late-night TV, Andy Cohen and Ali Wentworth so you know I will be tuning in. It seems like a lot of A-listers will be guest stars including Andy’s BFFs Sarah Jessica Parker and Kelly Ripa along with Gwyneth Paltrow, Whoopi Goldberg, Wendy Williams and more.
Nightcap is set to premiere Wednesday, November 16 at 8/9c. Andy has late-night perfected so I think this is a great opportunity for him. Based on the guests and outline of the show I think this one may be a hit!
