Yolanda and David have been split up for some time now; however details are just coming out due to the finale showcasing their separation.
Many wondered why Yolanda didn’t reveal the demise of her marriage (after all it is supposed to be a reality show); however Yolanda stated that the timing was off:
“I didn’t know until November 15. We already wrapped shooting, and the show was done.”
Bravo obviously had to re-shoot scenes such as Erika visiting Yolanda’s new condo to have the finale make sense.
Yolanda also shared that her and David were “in touch a little bit, here and there.” and that despite their split, she doesn’t regret their marriage, or signing a prenup for that matter:
“I married for love not for money.”
Despite their love and her understanding why the marriage came to an end, Yolanda admits she felt the timing was off on their separation saying:
“Yeah, I didn’t think that was the end of the road. I would have hoped to wait until I got 100 percent well.”
Despite that, she doesn’t put the blame on David for the demise of their marriage:
“You can’t imagine how much it takes for a man to take care of somebody that’s sick all the time.”
“David didn’t change, I’m the one who changed. And this is the outcome of that.”
No matter what you think of Yolanda, you can’t deny that she did love David and I’m sure the reality of the divorce is still very sad for her. Here’s hoping the split will allow her to focus on her recovery and the road ahead!
