“Like sands through the hourglass so are the days of our lives,” well the days of Kim and Kyle Richards’ lives. Over the weekend, Kim Richards wished her older sister Kathy Hilton a very Happy Birthday. While Kim’s sentiments towards Kathy were all rainbows and butterflies, the post also seems to be a dig towards her younger sister and former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-star Kyle Richards.
On Instagram Kim shared a lovely picture of her and Kathy with caption, “Happy Birthday to My Beautiful Beautiful Sister Kathy … I love you so much You are an amazing Sister, Mother, Wife & Friend thank you for always be there …. I am so grateful & proud to have you as MY SISTER! @kathyhilton .”
While no doubt Kim loves Kathy, she laid the “my sister” stuff on pretty thick, leaving many to wonder if Kim’s thanks to Kathy “for always being there” was a dig at Kyle.
Kyle, on the other hand, sent Kathy a sweet but simple birthday message. In an Instagram collage, Kyle shared several pictures of her, Kim, Kathy, and their parents throughout the years. Kyle wished Kathy a Happy Birthday saying,“Happy birthday to my sister @kathyhilton! May all your wishes come true ?? Love you ??.”
Kim, Kyle, and Kathy have a rocky relationship that has more ups and downs than an elevator. Right now Kim and Kyle are good and have begun repairing their relationship.
In a recent interview with Andy Cohen, Kim opened up about her decision to reconcile with Kyle saying,“The hurt won’t ever really go away. There’s certain things she’s done towards me that I personally have to put aside if I want to move forward. She called and reached out to me, and I wasn’t ready. So I said to her, ‘I have to put those things aside, and if you want to move forward, that’s what you need to do too.”
While Kim and Kyle slowly rebuild their relationship the cold war continues between Kathy and Kyle, who had a falling out over their husband’s businesses and Kyle’s choice to discuss family drama surrounding Nicky Hilton’s wedding on RHOBH.
Hopefully, these sisters can mend fences and become a happy family once again. Life’s too short for all this drama.
