RHOBH stars Garcelle Beauvais and Sutton Stracke are disappointed that their third musketeer, Crystal Minkoff, won’t be returning for season 14.
Garcelle Beauvais is opening up about Crystal Minkoff’s departure from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills ahead of season 14.
“I was disappointed about Crystal,” Garcelle told Entertainment Tonight on Tuesday, May 21.
“I think she’ll be fine. Crystal will be fine. I’m not worried about her,” she added.
As previously reported, Crystal announced her departure from RHOBH on April 15 via Instagram.
“I just wanted to share the news that I will not be coming back to film season 14 of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. It’s very bittersweet,” the 41-year-old said in her Instagram video post. “Never did I think I would have been asked to do the show in a million years, let alone film it for three seasons. Every single year I was asked back, it was a blessing. It was an honor.”
Crystal Minkoff, who joined RHOBH during season 11, noted that “being the first Asian American on Beverly Hills was a lot of weight on my shoulders.”
“I have since just have really understood the magnitude of what that meant for people,” she continued. “I just wanted to thank you guys for being such an incredible support for me, and I hope that I have been for you, sharing my story with my ED [eating disorder], sharing stories about my father and his Alzheimer’s. I’ve heard so many incredible stories from you guys.”
As for season 14 of RHOBH, Garcelle teased:
“I do think that we’re gonna have a really good season. We’re starting right out the gate. Right out the gate. We’re really fun. I’m not allowed to say a lot. I’ll get in trouble, but I think it’s gonna be really fun and fresh, I really do.”
Meanwhile, Sutton opened up about Crystal’s departure from RHOBH last week while chatting with TooFab.
“With Crystal, I got the news right when I landed, I think in Atlanta or Augusta, and I was so sad, and I called her immediately, and I started crying, and she was like, ‘You cannot cry, Sutton because I’m good,” Sutton said, adding that Crystal has “so many things” she is busy working on.
“I think it was a fine departure, and as long as she’s happy, I’m happy, we’re very good. But I will miss her because I love her dry bits and I love that I go to meet her. It might have been rocky at the start, but we learned a lot from one another,” she added.
