Former RHOBH star Crystal Minkoff reveals that her Los Angeles’ home was broken into while she was vacationing in Japan. Get the details.

During a recent appearance on Jeff Lewis’ SiriusXM radio show, Crystal Minkoff detailed how her home was broken into during a vacation to Japan.

According to the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, the intruders came face to face with her house sitters.

“They tried to break in and my house sitters, my friends, had to deal with it face to face,” Crystal said, noting that her friends were okay.

The 40-year-old explained that since she posted that she was out of town on social media, she believes the intruders thought her home would be empty.

“I actually have a lot more security that they weren’t using,” Crystal Minkoff shared. “It’s because they’re guests. They’re just like, you don’t think it’s going to happen, especially ’cause you’re at home.”

While Crystal didn’t share details about how the intruders entered her home, she did confirm that they hopped the gate to her property.

As for her friends, Crystal shared, “They were freaked out. I felt so bad.”

The main takeaway from the event for Crystal Minkoff and her husband, Rob Minkoff was to take the security of their home to the next level.

“It just reminded me that we need to step it up even more.”

Crystal is the second Housewife in recent weeks to have her home broken into. Real Housewives of Potomac star Wendy Osefo recently revealed that her Finksburg, Maryland home was robbed while she was vacationing in Jamaica with her family for spring break.

Sources reveal that the burglars snatched several of the Wendy’s designer bags including a few of her Hermès Birkins as well as a large amount of her jewelry.

Production for season 14 of RHOBH reportedly begins in April.

RHOBH is expected to return to Bravo in late 2024 or early 2025.

A neighbor of mine just had their back door kicked in at 3 a.m. by three thugs, one with a gun, demanding money, jewelry and their car key fobs. They tried to take the cars but couldn't get them started and ran off because my neighbors refused to turn off their house alarm. At gun point. Really scary stuff.

We have heard of insurance cases in Canada whereby they won't cover because you have posted on social media. Unless I have someone staying at my home, I no longer post until I return home.

The scary part is she DID have people staying in her home. Even THAT’S not good enough anymore. I am not wealthy enough for this to be any real concern to me specifically, but this is EFFED UP! I’m no fan of Crystal and I don’t tend to coddle the privileged BUT this is SO beyond what citizens (regardless of our socioeconomic status) should tolerate. We need to start making an example of these f*ckers each and every time they’re caught. Max sentences in the worst hell hole prisons America has to offer and this type of sh*t slows to a trickle.

But they won't. Time and again you read that these thugs are let out with no bail money posted only to not show up for pre-trial and go on to carjack or rob again. And the police don't do anything because they don't have the resources.

I think the insurance companies need to do more after the fact even if it means hiring a PI. Dorit admitted the alarm wasn't on, too with what seems like a staged robbery from the beginning, IMO. She may have posted while she was gone, too, since she loves taking photos of herself. I think Crystal was foolish to share this info about a robbery for various reasons. There really is no excuse with the money they have IMO and the insurance companies around there must not charge enough or have too low deductibles. It is like getting paid from flood insurance when living in a 10 year floodplain.
