RHUGT Exec Producer Says Brandi Glanville ‘Disrespected’ Caroline Manzo But Didn’t ‘Sexually Violate’ Her – Plus, Brandi Reacts

Brandi Glanville opens up about RHUGT drama with Caroline Manzo

RHUGT exec producer claims Brandi Glanville “disrespected” Caroline Manzo but didn’t “sexually violate” her. Plus, Brandi reacts to the truth finally being revealed.

As the Bravoverse already knows, Caroline Manzo is suing Bravo. The Real Housewives of New Jersey alum claims that she was sexually harassed by co-star Brandi Glanville while filming season 4 of RHUGT in Morocco.

In her January court filing, Caroline Manzo alleged that several members of the RHUGT asked her cast about whether or not her breasts were real or fake, and they frequently commented about how large her breasts were.

She then alleged: “[A] clearly intoxicated, GLANVILLE walked over to MANZO, spread MANZO’s legs and leaned into MANZO. She then laid her head on MANZO’s inner thigh. MANZO pulled away and moved to the end of the couch.”

“Exerting her dominance over MANZO, GLANVILLE followed MANZO and sat right next to MANZO on the couch. GLANVILLE proceeded to kiss MANZO with a closed mouth. GLANVILLE then kissed MANZO again. MANZO was very uncomfortable. GLANVILLE then proceeded to mount MANZO on the couch, holding MANZO down with her body, forcibly squeezed MANZO’s cheeks together, and thrust her tongue in MANZO’s mouth while humping her,” the documents read.

Now, in new court documents filed in response to Caroline’s lawsuit, RHUGT executive producer Lisa Shannon claims that the RHONJ OG told production at the time that Brandi’s alleged “actions that evening had triggered memories” of her past “childhood trauma.” She notes that Caroline didn’t mention an assault while in Morocco.

“Our primary concern at that point was making sure that Manzo felt safe,” read court documents obtained by Page Six. “She told us that she felt safe, that she wanted to continue to film, and that she did not want Glanville to be sent home.”

Shannon then insisted that Caroline was “not left alone” with Brandi that evening or the following morning. Caroline also told Shannon and other members of production that she “felt safe” and wanted to continue filming the Real Housewives spinoff show.

Per court documents, Caroline purportedly told Shannon, “‘Listen, I feel safe, okay, I feel your support. This is for me… I’m dealing with something that has been buried deep in my soul for 50 years.’”

RHUGT Morocco cast: Brandi Glanville, Phaedra Parks, Camille Grammer, Gretchen Rossi, Vicki Gunvalson, Caroline Manzo, and Eva Marcelle

The documents also note after Brandi and Caroline’s incident, production stopped including the Real Housewives of Beverly alum in group activities. However, Phaedra Parks and other cast members allegedly “perceived the events differently.”

“‘All of us thought we were having fun,’” the RHOA alum purportedly told Caroline. “‘No one knew about whatever has happened to you in the past.’”

Shannon also alleges that Caroline left Morocco early after members of the RHUGT season 4 cast said they were going to visit Brandi at her hotel, which Shannon notes is the “only time” Caroline asked not to be filmed.

“At that time, she asked the production crew not to film her, and we honored that request,” Shannon said in court documents.

“Other than that incident, Manzo never asked not to be filmed or express to me, or to my knowledge, anyone else from production, that she was uncomfortable being filmed,” she continued, noting that Caroline “willingly allowed production to film her” decision to leave the trip early.

Shannon adds that Caroline was paid in full despite leaving the series early.

After Bravo’s reply to Caroline’s lawsuit went public, Brandi Glanville reacted to the news on social media.

She shared Page Six‘s article on Instagram, writing, “It only took 15 months, a lawsuit, and me going through hell for the truth to start coming out.”

Then, on Twitter, she shared:

“Am I happy? No. Do I feel vindicated? No. IM FUCKING MORE PISSED THAN EVER. What these producers do to make a TV show is disgraceful &disgusting. I begged for them to intervene. I almost died. It took a lawsuit… I’m not ok.”

Brandi has been going over the line for years and she finally did it to someone who won't take it. The fact that a producer came out with these claims was just to cover Bravo's "assets" in the lawsuit. No one knows what happened in the bathroom but Brandi and Caroline. Seeing that Brandi has had a problem with the truth in the past and it's been proven, I'm more inclined to believe Caroline. Brandi should have been gone and forgotten long ago by Bravo after she slapped LVP. She should have never been brought back by Bravo for anything and Bravo's choice of bringing her back has put them where they are now with a lawsuit looming over them for her actions.

That is what it is about. Bravo knowingly and purposely hired a known physically aggressive and likely mentally unbalanced person over and over and it came back to bite them. If not for the fact it was out of country in a country that likely would have arrested Caroline, too, she probably would have just charged Brandi and bravo would have gotten off the hook. Bravo IS the problem and now they are saying nothing bad happened. Some commenters are willing to let it go, IMO, because they resent Caroline for writing a letter saying her BIL is nice from her experience before she knew for sure what he was capable of. Or maybe they just don't like her because of the publicity about the BIL, etc. (I don't think much of them, either because of that). However, how does that make it okay for some known physically aggressive coworker who is 51 years old and 5 feet, 10 inches tall to get sexually physically aggressive with groping and kissing and apparently briefly restraining someone more than once who is 62 years old and 5 feet, 1 inch tall. That is what I find sad. Shame on that producer for using what she told her against her to downplay what actually happened. 5' 10" vs 5' 1" and more than a decade.

So that is a producer for Bravo's response to the lawsuit? So in other words, there isn't any defense if this is about bravo continuing to knowingly hire an aggressive person who caused some kind of damage to a co-worker because their angle is nothing happened so they can't be at fault for hiring an aggressive nutjob? Well, they have to respond with something.

If Caroline has passed trauma, Caroline needs to deal with it herself. Not destroy others around her because of it. This woman has always considered herself holy than thou, she was given the benefit of the doubt that it was Brandi in the wrong, Caroline has hung her out to dry for too long and let everyone assume the worst of Brandi. If she has felt disrespected, Brandi should feel equally as disrespected for the character assassination she inflicted on her for so long.

Buried deep in her soul. I wonder how Dina feels about that letter you wrote....

While it would be interesting to see this play out in Court, no doubt a settlement will be reached, Bravo will not have to admit to anything and the settlement will be sealed by the Court. If the facts support that she was sexually harrassed, Caroline should have (and maybe still can?) file criminal charges against Brandi.

It really should play out in court but it probably won't. I'm guessing since it "allegedly" happened in another country, with no police report, plus whatever they sign when they work for bravo that she's already been advised it would be a waste of time and money to file criminal charges. ?? On the other hand, maybe that is Plan B and then Brandi will really throw bravo under the bus when she claims all the times they've told her or rewarded her to be physically aggressive whether it is true or not.

Maybe next time producers will change their stance. They like to play favorites. They like to have dinner with certain cast members on real housewives of New Jersey’s. All producers had to do was telling Brandi bring up Caroline’s family issues. That’s more entertaining than Caroline being fondled. I Just read a story that Faith from Vanderpump rules is suing bravo. Why would they fire Stasi and Kristen just to hire them again. The crazy thing is that if they didn’t hire Kristen, I don’t think Faith would be suing.

Brandi and mis/fit Andy, (who would normally love this if he wasn't being called out for loving this), are just gross. Both bullies. Andy has his sick agenda and Brandi is all too willing to do anything towards that. Now she is out of a job. Like many woke morons, she overshot the target and will now be abandoned by everyone.

Bravo, you are just so over the line sometimes.. this statement is purely to protect you and you only from the lawsuit now how many months later, disgusting! Caroline may not have told the crew and producers what happened in the bathroom and on set, she said she was triggered, but when she got home in a safe space she did tell Bravo a sexual assault had taken place. This is very, very common for sexual assault victims to need to be in a safer, supportive, not in shock sometimes environment to speak up. Obviously something triggering and disturbing they are at least admitting happened on set and were told initially and more later , why did it get this far? Bravo, this smells to high heaven protection for yourself.

It sounds like this is just the only (lame) response they have to the lawsuit. So they are saying Caroline wasn't in any way assaulted or "damaged", so they can't be at fault for continuing to hire a person who they knew was overly physically aggressive toward co-workers in the past and was a potential threat. They exploited the nut job in spite of her making the workplace not so safe in the past, IMO. So they have ZERO defense since they won't acknowledge damage occurred. If it goes to court, they should lose assuming Caroline is being honest which she must be or she would not go to this much trouble. Bravo made the workplace unsafe by knowingly continuing to hire people (Brandi) that are physically aggressive! IMO
