Sutton Stracke Doesn’t ‘Really Give a Sh*t’ Annemarie Wiley is Leaving RHOBH Plus, Kyle Richards Weighs in On the Newbie’s Exit

Sutton Stracke shares her candid thoughts on Annemarie Wiley's departure from RHOBH.

It’s safe to say that Sutton Stracke and her esophagus won’t miss Annemarie Wiley on the next season of RHOBH following her recent exit from the series.

The RHOBH star appeared on Jeff Lewis Live this week, commenting on Annemarie Wiley’s firing from the show ahead of season 14.

Last week, Annemarie Wiley announced that she was not asked back for season 14 of RHOBH.

The controversial RHOBH newbie shared the news on Instagram, writing:

“I just got word today that I will not be returning to “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.”

To say that I’m disappointed is an understatement.

I never auditioned for this show. The show found me and asked me to be on it out of the blue 6 weeks after the cast had already started filming. I was thrown into filming 2 weeks later, mid-season. I was very excited about the opportunity, and I thought following exactly what I was instructed to do throughout filming last season was the way the “game was played.” Listening to what I was instructed to do was my rookie mistake. What I am disappointed about is that the fans never got to see the real me or even a glimpse of my unique life story…
Contrary to what was shown on TV, I am not obsessed with the esophagus! LOL

What I am is a woman, a proud black woman, who is truly blessed with a wonderful, strong black man as my husband, who lifts me and our four wonderful children up with so much love and positivity on a daily. It was an important mission of mine for the next season to show a solid black family unit and that “true black love” exists, even in Beverly Hills… my struggle with losing my mother to lung cancer within weeks of taping and my struggle with adoption trauma and what was going to be, and still will be, a new life journey for me to find my biological parents.

All of which was taped, but never shown last season…among other things.”

When asked about Annemarie’s departure from RHOBH, Sutton told Jeff Lewis, “I’ll say my esophagus is very happy, and who? Who did that? Who said who? No. You know what, I gotta say I feel a little bad for her. I think…”

“I don’t want to pick on her. She’s had people pick on her,” Sutton said in an attempt to be diplomatic.

However, she couldn’t hold back and finally blurted out her true feelings.

“I really don’t give a shit,” Sutton said referring to Annemarie’s firing before adding, “I hope she has a nice spring break and Happy Easter.”

Speaking of Annemarie’s exit, RHOBH OG Kyle Richards addressed the news during a recent Amazon Live.

“I always feel bad when somebody comes in and doesn’t have a great experience on the show,” Kyle said.

She continued, “She didn’t get to show all aspects of her life in one season, so it’s hard. I feel bad. She’s great, and she has a great family. It is what it is. She has a beautiful family. She will be fine.”

Kyle Richards opens up about Annemarie Wiley’s exit from RHOBH

Meanwhile, it’s unclear which RHOBH stars will return for season 14 or if any newbies will join the cast.

Sources tell RadarOnline.com that Kyle RichardsErika Jayne, Dorit Kemsley, Garcelle BeauvaisSutton Stracke, and Crystal Minkoff have not been informed about any possible cast shakeups despite filming presumably being picked back up next month.”

Another insider close to production reveals that “casting conversations are ongoing, and final decisions have not been made.”

RHOBH season 13 cast in Ojai

While no newbies have been confirmed yet, rumors are swirling that RHOBH alum Eileen Davidson’s name is being tossed around as a possible casting choice. It also predicted that Kathy Hilton will rejoin the season 14 cast as a friend of the Housewives. Filming for season 14 is set to commence in late April.

RHOBH is expected to return to Bravo in late 2024 or early 2025.

It sounds like her fellow actors feel like most of us about her leaving.....whatever!

It would be exhausting to hear that loud mouth never stopping, just like she is still doing even though no longer employed by bravo. Is she even employed as a nurse? What is the husband's job? Did he look after their three young children while she filmed for months or do they have two or three nannies? That would be more interesting if she still demands attention, IMO.

Sutton needs to STFU. She's so annoying.
SU March 29, 2024 - 5:05 pm
Yep - wouldn't G.A.S if she left as well.
Snarky Enigma March 30, 2024 - 2:57 pm
She wore out her welcome this season, and Crystal and Garcelle proved themselves as even more useless. But trust and believe; they ain't getting rid of a black, a Haitian, and an Asian.

Stop leading with the color of your skin... We can see you are black... Im more concerned they fired you over being a conservative... Lead with that next time... I am a Proud MAGA conservative...

He’s just throwing any and everything against the wall to see what sticks. SHE handed Bravo all sorts of plausible deniability on a silver platter as to why they didn’t renew her contract, but I doubt Bravo even needs a reason. The contract was likely for one season. She completed the season. That contract was fulfilled. Now Bravo doesn’t want to offer her another one. It sucks if the ONLY reason why was because of her political beliefs, but I don’t believe that was the sole reason. Annemarie was unlikable, unprofessional, didn’t mesh well with the cast. It was obvious why she was hired in the first place and the audience despite their political beliefs saw through it. Hell, I’ll even give Bravo credit (that they likely don’t deserve) that they didn’t edit her political rants to look unhinged just cuz she’s conservative. You know the conservative card cancels out the race card. Just ask Candace Owens. ? And I don’t care how many panties get in a twist over what I said cuz as always… https://media2.giphy.com/media/S85OgJLNNrWFk7ZDMY/giphy-downsized-small.mp4

Lol!...I did not like her at all...
Snarky Enigma March 30, 2024 - 2:54 pm
Yup, it wasn't an "either/or" ... they were well aware (early on) she wasn't resonating with viewers, so it was easy to can her. As I said, she was virtually ignored at the reunion. The entire season was a discombobulated shit show; bringing on Denise and Kathy was the reunion were last ditch efforts to spice things up. It worked with Denise, but where Kathy is concerned, for me, it looked like Andy was telling Annamarie ... "Meet your replacement".
Champagne Hangover March 30, 2024 - 4:40 pm
I wouldn’t be surprised if he was doing just that. Andy is such a d*ck. ? Even though I do see the argument for showcasing political viewpoints (e.g., yes, black conservatives DO exist), quite frankly, I prefer my housewives shows entirely politics free. Escapist entertainment and politics are just on two different ends of the cultural spectrum to me. They RARELY mesh well.? If I want to see a bunch of overly pampered, clueless morons spewing MSM bullet points verbatim or embarrassing themselves by tryna act all intelligent, I’ll watch The View. Housewives is brain candy for me ? ?. Don’t be trying to slip in any vegan fake @ss meat in there either ?. I want pure brain candy. I want high fructose corn syrup oozing out of my ears after every episode! You hear that Bravo?! ?
Snarky Enigma April 1, 2024 - 3:58 pm
I see it slightly different. For me, "politics" is not a subject that can just easily be ignored. Politics is not like talking about "who won the big game"; for me, political views define who people are, and virtually every part of their being. I don't think it's possible to just ignore certain realities in life ... our differences (like ethnicities, sexual orientations, and politics). Some can ... I'm just not one of them. I'm capable of "keeping it light" for short periods (if I have to), but ultimately, I think it's a very surfacy and shallow way to coexist. I also completely own the fact that I'm not the tolerable type who welcome all kinds of viewpoints into my fold. With almost 8 billion people on this Earth, why spend time with those whom we vehemently disagree with. Also, the older one gets, the less one G's A F.
Champagne Hangover April 1, 2024 - 6:23 pm
To each his/ her own, I just have no desire to hear these morons spew their idiocy. Let them talk about what they DO know: throwing fabulous parties, the best med spas, the most luxurious vacation spots, their famous friends, how to spot a fake Birkin, shit like that with a few cat fights, a couple of drunken moments and JUST enough cringe to keep you on your toes. ? God, I miss original RHONY ?
Snarky Enigma April 1, 2024 - 7:04 pm
To quote the great Rose McGowen, "me too". I stream old RHONYs in the wee hrs. ... currently revisiting S5 (when Aviva, Heather, and Carole hit the scene). It's soo good. https://media1.giphy.com/media/UdGFMIrmRByhO/giphy-downsized-small.mp4

That is one of my favorite scenes EVER!!! Sonja and Ramona googling ‘white trash’ was CLASSIC!!! ???
Snarky Enigma April 2, 2024 - 2:09 pm
I never was quite sure if that shtick was for real. I mean, could they really be that unaware of such a common term? The hilarious thing was, Aviva was just getting started, because she REALLY lets them have it when she meets with both of them to talk things over.
Champagne Hangover April 2, 2024 - 2:41 pm
Aviva was underrated. She got the shaft for going after Carold who at that time enjoyed LVP untouchable (and undeserved) status. Was Aviva an ahole sometimes? Sure. Was she a neurotic mess? Yes, but the woman lost a leg. Was she good tv? Better than that Kennedy adjacent slug Carold and her 5 good summers. ? ?
Champagne Hangover April 2, 2024 - 3:18 pm
True, but Sonja concluding, ‘Well, maybe we are white trash but who cares?’ is the cerebral confection that hits ALL the flavor notes of escapist, mindless tv that Bravo USED to deliver on but just HAD to sh*t upon. ?
Snarky Enigma April 2, 2024 - 4:25 pm
Yup, they need to get back to basics ... stellar casting NOT based on "woke" awareness. There are other ways to satisfy the lunatics.
Zap It March 29, 2024 - 2:59 pm
Political beliefs should be a protected class under the law. People are entitled to their political beliefs without retribution from those that disagree with you.
Champagne Hangover March 29, 2024 - 3:15 pm
I would agree with you 100% there, except she wasn’t technically fired, the contract just wasn’t renewed. And Bravo can pick any number of reasons why that is but they don’t even have to. The contract was fulfilled. She completed her season. Legally, Bravo is not doing anything wrong by not renewing it, no matter the reason. They are not obligated to renew it. Now if the contact had been for more than one season (doubt it was cuz she’s a nobody), they would likely have to buy her out of her contract unless she violated the terms of her contract. I’m not sure about the ins and outs of that, but I’m 99.9% sure that would come with some sort of NDA attached. And since this broad and her husband won’t shut up about it, we can assume that didn’t happen either.
Zap It March 29, 2024 - 4:20 pm
Agreed, she wasn't technically fired but not having your contract renewed has the same result. Your livelihood is damaged along with your professional (and sometimes personal) reputation. Legally, your employer doesn't have to give you a reason for termination or non renewal as long as the appropriate severance is paid or the terms of the employment contract have been fulfilled. My point is due to the rumors being that the non renewal may have been political in nature then we are long over due for political beliefs to be a protected class under the law. Reality shows are not documentaries about race which is why the whole race thing is a turn off in this circumstance but I would be angry too if I thought that my political beliefs somehow affected my employment. Which is why people should never discuss politics or religion at work. Being labelled a Trump supporter in the entertainment industry is the same as a smear and so I understand her husband's anger.
Snarky Enigma March 30, 2024 - 2:45 pm
My point exactly; the contracts are year to year, and although I used to think there were exceptions (Denise, Eileen, maybe Garcelle) even that has been debunked for me, because Denise told Bethenny (or was it Jeff?) that she didn't know where her rumored $3m (two yr. minimum) even started. They claim EVERYONE wait for "the call (personally from Andy) if you're one of his coke buddies BFF's.
Champagne Hangover March 30, 2024 - 4:10 pm
Ah, ok. Interesting. I figured Bravo might want to lock the big names in for more than one season BEFORE they have a chance to demand more $$$ for the second or third. You know, get them at a set price, but I think Bravo knows even better than we do that this whole genre has a shelf life. And I think they know tick effin’ tock until its time is up. Also, they know how replaceable these broads are. These broads get too uppity with their demands and/or cause too many headaches, they get shown the door and the next fame whore waiting in the wings (cuz they got a whole bunch of them) gets ushered in. It makes sense in that regard season to season. ??
Snarky Enigma March 29, 2024 - 5:42 pm
I've discussed this with Kelly Leventhal at length (online of oourse), turns out you are correct ... political beliefs are not protected, and we all know she had a strong case, and Jenni Nguyan even more than her. The other problem is their iron clad contracts which gives Bravo all the power and "the talent" NONE. #Reality Reckoning
675309 March 29, 2024 - 2:20 pm
Maybe that was one of the many reasons she wasn't renewed if what the "anonymous source" said was true and what the husband went on a rant about. Bravo learned the hard way with RHNY not to keep those with political type agendas. As overly annoying and aggressive as she was about everything else, I suspect if she got on a tangent about political parties, not to mention extremist rhetoric, it would get old fast. I don't know if she did or not, but she is super annoying. Bravo would have been stupid to keep her based on what we did see, IMO.
Snarky Enigma March 29, 2024 - 5:51 pm
I hoped this would get picked up. Kelly and Rick reported that AW was fired because of her stance on the trans in women's sports controversy, and the group said they would not film with her, adding that she knows for a fact that privately, Kyle is just as Republican as Kathy, Kim, and Mauricio. I would need receipts on that one, although it does make sense.
