Taylor Armstrong Reveals Why She Doesn’t Watch RHOBH

RHOBH alum Taylor Armstrong Reacts to Kyle Richards’ Separation on WWHL

Bravo alum Taylor Armstrong reveals why she no longer watches RHOBH despite her continued close connection with the cast.

Taylor Armstrong recently admitted that she no longer watches the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

“I stopped watching mostly the Beverly Hills girls because I love them all so much and watching them fight,” the 52-year-old told Us Weekly in West Hollywood on Thursday, April 25.

“I know what that anxiety feels like when you’re in that situation when you’re fighting with your friends on camera and it’s just so much pressure. And I was like, ‘I can’t watch this.’ It’s upsetting me watching them yell at each other.”

Taylor also hinted that one of main reasons she left RHOBH and more recently RHOC is because being on show’s where all women do is fight is counterintuitive to the work she’s doing in the women’s empowerment space.

“I’m working on so many other projects. I’m really big in the women’s empowerment space, so working on Empowered Experts is a big project,” she explained. “It’s going to take a lot of my time and it’s all courses and retreats and things for women, just kind of building each other up. Sometimes it’s a little difficult when watching my friends fight on TV and then turning around and being empowered. It doesn’t really fit sometimes.”

She added, “I’m doing scripted [television] now, so I’ve been having fun with that. And it’s great to play somebody else and not get yourself in trouble playing you.”

Despite no longer watching RHOBH, Taylor notes it doesn’t mean she’s not rooting for her friends including OG Kyle Richards, who remain on Bravo’s Real Housewives.

Speaking of Kyle, Taylor says she can’t imagine RHOBH without her, adding that she doesn’t see the 55-year-old mom of four walking away from the series anytime soon.

RHOBH alum Taylor Armstrong denies she once dated Kyle Richards.

“I can’t imagine her not being on the show,” Taylor said. “I also think it might be good for her just to take a year and be happy and not feel the pressure of the show on top of everything that’s going on in a relationship.”

She added, “It’s nice to step away and take a breather for a minute. I don’t know if she would know how though. She’s been doing it for so long.”

Taylor was an original castmember on RHOBH when the series premiered on Bravo in 2010. For three seasons Taylor starred on the series before her departure in 2013. Since then she has appeared several times as a guest.

Years later, in 2023, Taylor joined the season 17 cast of the Real Housewives of Orange County as a friend of the Housewives. However, her return to the fold was short lived as she exited the show after only one season.

At least she is right about one thing...both RHOBH and RHOC are nothing but fights over meaningless things by a bunch of over-aged women acting like sophomores in high school.

I bet all the women who leave are - after deprogramming - happy they left.
