Leah McSweeney’s Attorneys Say There Are More Lawsuits Heading Bravo and Andy Cohen’s Way

Bravo stars come to Andy Cohen's defense amid drug allegations

Buckle up Bravoverse because more lawsuits against Bravo and Andy Cohen are coming according to Leah McSweeney’s legal team.

Leah McSweeney’s attorneys are blasting the Real Housewives who have had Andy Cohen’s back amid their ongoing legal battle against the Watch What Happens Live host and Bravo. They also say there are more lawsuits coming for both the network and Real Housewives executive producer.

“There are more lawsuits coming and there are more people who are going to speak out,”
McSweeney’s lawyer, Gary Adelman, said in a statement to Us Weekly on Tuesday, March 12. “It doesn’t matter what people say or think — that Andy’s a good guy, or that you should expect to drink, or that you should expect this behavior.”

Adelman’s statement concluded, “What’s going to matter is what the law thinks of it. And we believe the law thinks this is wrong.”

“That Andy Cohen had his counsel and PR agents write a threatening letter to give to the press is hardly surprising. Mr. Cohen is accustomed to using his power in the media to scare and intimidate people like Ms. McSweeney so that they will not speak out,” the statement read. “Mr. Cohen’s attempt to discredit and intimidate Ms. McSweeney to deter her from engaging in legally protected activity in Court is exactly the type of retaliation that this lawsuit was brought to address and only is further evidence for Ms. McSweeney.”

As AllAboutTRH previously reported, Brandi Glanville has made sexual harassment claims against Andy, while Leah McSweeney filed a lawsuit against the network and Andy, in which she claims the Real Housewives executive producer “snorts cocaine” with his favorite Housewives.

Andy looks annoyed by the drama.

In February, Andy addressed Brandi’s accusations against him, insisting they were all in jest and that Brandi was in on the joke.

Late last month, the Watch Watch What Happens Live host tweeted:

“The video shows Kate Chastain and I very clearly joking to Brandi. It was absolutely meant in jest, and Brandi’s response clearly communicated she was in on the joke. That said, it was totally inappropriate, and I apologize.”

When it comes to Leah’s claims, Andy’s attorneys have denied the Real Housewives of New York alum’s allegations.

Earlier this month, the WWHL host’s legal team fired off a letter demanding Leah McSweeney retract her “baseless and false.” allegations or face going to court

Andy and Leah McSweeney pose for a photo at Bravo Clubhouse long before RHONY alum’s lawsuit.

“We demand that you immediately retract and withdraw all allegations relating to Mr. Cohen’s purported ‘cocaine use,’” the legal letter read.

The letter continued, “Mr. Cohen never used cocaine with any cast member on any Real Housewives or with any other Bravo employee. The absence of any reasonable basis to make such allegations is confirmed by your pleading itself.”

Meanwhile, Real Housewives of New Jersey alum Caroline Manzo is also suing Bravo for “negligence, sexual harassment, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and more” after Brandi Glanville allegedly sexually harassed her while filming Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip in Morocco. She is seeking damages in the lawsuit.

Bravo has yet to comment on Caroline’s lawsuit.

I think we all knew this would happen one day ... a few disgruntled twinks (to file sexual harassment and/or assault charges against Cohen) should do the trick. Also, now that the HW series in general seems to be petering out, I guess now is as good a time as any to go in for the kill. Personally, I still enjoy it now and then, but Bravo in general has this bad habit of running everything into the ground; that is keeping certain "talent" WAY too long. See exhibits A and B: Below Deck and The Real Housewives series.

Yeah, I reckon they’re of the ‘squeeze every last bit of the toothpaste out of the tube…then take a knife, gut that b*tch and scrape it dry ? ‘ ilk. I reckon the genre itself has a shelf life, though. I mean, real life gets boring, hence the introduction of story lines to grab interest and drama to shake things up. Somehow you gotta maintain the fakeness and drama while still selling it as reality tv. It’s bound to implode. ????

I wonder if Leah is wasting money on lawyers hoping for the big payout instead of funding her daughter's college education.

The might be doing it on a contingent basis where they get paid only if they win. In this case they will get a lot of free publicity and they get to grandstand.

That makes sense. Based on some of their quotes, it doesn't sound like they have much going on.
