RHOBH OG Kyle Richards is sharing how she felt learning that Dorit Kemsley shared her private text message during the season 13 reunion.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star admits she was taken aback when she learned Dorit Kemsley shared her text message with not only co-star Erika Jayne but also producers at the reunion.

“I was really shocked, honestly. I was really surprised by that,” Kyle admitted during an Amazon Live when asked about Dorit’s shady reunion antics. “Because in all of the years of doing this show—14 years there now—I’ve never, ever shared anything that’s been said to me off-camera or a text that’s off-camera [and] private.”

The 55-year-old acknowledged that members of the RHOBH cast will occasionally read text messages aloud on the show they are sent “to the group” or involve situations that have been featured on the show.

“But a personal one?” the RHOBH OG insisted. “No. I’ve never done that.”

She then noted that it didn’t matter if someone was her best friend or “enemy;” she would “never” share their private text messages on RHOBH.

“I never have, and that’s just a rule that I have, and so that really surprised me,” she said.

When asked if she and Dorit were still friends, Kyle said, “Yes, we’re friends,” before admitting, “Right now, it’s not good.”

As AllAboutTRH previously reported, during part one of the RHOBH season 13 reunion, Dorit Kemsley revealed a lengthy “manipulative” text message Kyle Richards sent ahead of filming the reunion.

“There’s stuff with Kyle and I that’s going on and it hurts and bothers me the most,” Dorit told RHOBH co-star Erika Jayne. “I haven’t heard from her in a couple of months. Then, she sends me a text yesterday, basically trying to silence me. It was so manipulative, it was so calculated.”

The text message starts off with Kyle admitting that she’s been “trying to reach out” as it “bothers” her that they’re in a “weird place” since filming for season 13 wrapped.

“Some interview comments hurt my feelings and created more issues for me,” Kyle wrote as the text flashed across the screen. “I don’t want to lose someone else in my life over a TV show. They don’t even know we are going through a hard time so I don’t see the need to bring it up here.”

Kyle then told Dorit that she loves her, her husband, Paul “PK” Kemsley, and their kids, Phoenix and Jagger, and doesn’t want to “lose someone else in [her] life over a TV show.”

“They don’t even know we are going through a hard time, so I don’t see the need to bring it up there,” Kyle noted. “I should have said something sooner, but I honestly haven’t been strong enough. But relationships and YOU are more important to me than RHOBH.”

The OG concludes her message by asking Dorit if she’d like to meet and talk, adding that she’s unsure how much longer she can handle being on RHOBH.

The text message is expected to be discussed during part two of the RHOBH season 13 reunion.

Part two of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 13 reunion airs March 6. at 8 p.m. on Bravo.

Kyle was shocked. Just "shocked"! I guess Kyle continues to think that she can use the abusive silent treatment to control and punish those who annoy her and that it will always work. Guess what Kyle...it didn't.

I mean her sister Kathy who does that exact same thing to Kyle, but big Kathy knew what she was doing when she chose her eldest daughter as her namesake, so indirectly…yes.

Every time Kyle opened her mouth I couldn’t focus on anything she was saying as those side bangs she had hanging from her head were so, what’s that all about, wtf styled her? Don’t get me started on the dress… paging Joan Crawford.

Whatever. Ya got caught in your game, Kyle. ?Dorit did nothing ‘shocking’ by exposing such an obvious and insulting manipulation. Sure, she could have chosen to handle it privately between the two of you, but that’s falling into the hands of the manipulation once again. Kyle wanted control over what Dorit would disclose publicly and tried to guilt and shame her into obedience at the last hour no less. It’s no wonder Dorit said ‘Eff that’. And I’m not even a Dorit fan nor do I care one way or the other about Kyle BUT Kyle, ya got owned and ya got owned due to your own messiness. Deal. ?

Loved when Dorit called her out and said that she knows Kyle's nature and told her she's a "punisher" and will shut out anyone who says something she doesn't like. That was a good moment. Not a fan either of Dorit but she nailed Kyle in that moment. ?

All of those sisters, ALL three of them have their apple/tree moments. None of them has escaped Big Kathy’s tentacles. To this day, those tentacles reach out from the grave. Ironically, imo Kyle came the closest to escape, but ‘‘twas not meant to be. I don’t think Kyle’s detractors have even the vaguest clue how damaging and soul crushing narcissistic abuse is and how very few manage to sufficiently heal from it, let alone escape it unscathed. None of those three had a prayer. It’s no wonder Kyle is the way she is, that Kim is a hardcore addict and that Kathy embodies all that made Big Kathy the monster she was. Yeah, I said it. ?

I really don't know much about the mother. Do you know how Kathy treated her mother after her marriage to a Hilton? Were they close? The mother must have been ecstatic that her daughter married into such a wealthy family.

Oh read ‘House of Hilton’! It’s an absolute must read. Big Kathy was a monster! Kyle is a literal saint compared to big Kathy. They all are. However, the damage was done and no one paid a bigger price (both literally and figuratively) than Kim. ? Anyway, the book explains EVERYTHING. It would have been a literal miracle if those girls didn’t turn out just as they are especially Kim ?. It’s a real page turner! ??

I can’t help but think Kim was a victim of Hollywood sex abuse, it’s what led to her addiction issues. Big Kathy wanted the money more than her daughter’s safety. Kris Jenner aspires to be her.

Who was or how did the author know about what was in the book? I agree with your assessment of the results without knowing what is in the book. So the youngest may have escaped some of the worst by not being around big Kathy as long. Kathy may have escaped by getting married with enough money to satisfy the mother with that. Kim worked the most and also turned her anger or whatever inside and was the worst victim. I found it odd that Kyle hasn't mentioned she has other half siblings besides Kathy and must have other (half?) nieces and nephews besides Paris and Nicki (and their brother). I realize they aren't part of her family and may have never been very much although biologically they are. Maybe someone needs to ask when she claims others don't share stuff about them!
