RHOBH stars Dorit Kemsley and Crystal Minkoff appear on Bravo's WWHL.

Dorit Kemsley’s child bride comment about co-star Crystal Minkoff came back to haunt her at the RHOBH season 13 reunion.

If you remember, Dorit Kemsley took major issue with Annemarie Wiley’s claim that Crystal Minkoff told her that the Beverly Hills Housewives were “uneducated.”

The comment rubbed Dorit the wrong way so much so that in her confessional interview, the 47-year-old clapped back, calling the 40-year-old a “child bride.”

In RHOBH season 13 confessional, Dorit said, “By the way, child bride, while you were busy getting married at 12, the rest of us were Building businesses, graduating college, doing things, you know, to educate ourselves.”

Obviously, Dorit’s comment came up at the season 13 reunion.

During part one of the RHOBH season 13 reunion, Dorit and Crystal addressed the comment head on – and things got ugly.

The Beverly Beach designer defended her comment, quipping, “They call Priscilla Presley a child bride.”

“I mean, okay. I’m an Asian person,” Crystal said as co-star Garcelle Beauvais, interjected, “It’s the Asian see, that’s what I’m talking about” referencing her issue with Dorit’s lack of awareness surrounding other cultures.

 “As an Asian person, child bride is equivalent to mail order bride,” Crystal continued before asking Dorit, “Do you know that?”

“Now I know. And obviously, it was a throwaway comment in my confessional. That was not what I was insinuating. It was off the back of you calling us unintelligent,” Dorit explained.

RHOBH OG Kyle Richards inserted herself into the debate in an attempt to defend Dorit’s comment, noting, “But the [age] part, I always say when I’m saying someone’s young, I’ll be like, ‘They were 12.’ That’s, like, the number of people seem to say.”

Crystal didn’t even acknowledge Kyle’s comment and instead jumped right back into schooling Dorit.

In fact, the 40-year-old founder of Real Coco ate Dorit up with her clap back.

“You said I got married at 12. I got married at 24. I’d already gone to college, and I’ve built a company worth over a $100,000,000 right now.”

“So for you to say that you were in college and getting all this education, building businesses while I’m getting married at 12 years old is bullshit. It’s a microgressive comment.”

The comment stunned Dorit, who simply mustered up “Well, that was not my intention,” in response.

Part two of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 13 reunion airs March 6. at 8 p.m. on Bravo.

However, Garcelle's confessional comment at Dorit is just as "micro"aggressive as the other white ladies, so they all attack, make poor jokes/words and no side comes out correct or right. Use your education HWs. Smart women don't make petty racists slurs, throwaways or interviews. Maybe Crystal was right about these women. No it's NOT an Asian thing Crystal. Just more BS from a HW of color crying victim and pointing fingers at the white HW. Mail order brides were quite common in our country for hundreds of years beginning in the 17th & 18th century. Long before Crystal and Her privilege showed up on these shores. Many were not young so calling Crystal a child bride has nothing to do with being a mail order bride or her race. This is the same shit she tried to pull on Sutton a few seasons ago. And Dorit, maybe you can EDUCATE Crystal with these facts and STOP apologizing.

I really don't think Dorit is dumb...I just think she was scared she would be cancelled and harassed by the black/Asian community. They would come after her, her livelihood and her family. Remember PJ is British which makes him a real target as in colonizer. So I think she had to make the rehearsed apology of "please tell me, I'm sorry, I will do better" so she could survive. That doesn't make her dumb. It just makes her want to survive the social climate we live in today.

What?!You have really bought in to it, just as I thought. Is her terrible fear why she mocked the whole thing with lame photos of the family in their "bubble" not long after that episode aired. She is just nasty, instigating chaos to keep her job and bigoted to some extent. PuKe has a lot more to worry about than being "cancelled and harassed by the Black/Asian community" unless all the Blacks and Asians are among those he owes money to!! Ridiculous. Same with her. She is a bigot and isn't going to change so Garcelle and Crystal need to call her out for stuff that is easier to prove, like her debt. The fake robbery and the fake PTSD would be good ones but hard to prove. There is the alleged $10,000 in her purse when it was stolen from a grocery cart that she didn't mention until about 10 months after she claims it happened. Grill her on that! Where's the police report for starters! Garcelle harped on it too long. Crystal is another story and is way too judgmental, IMO. The three of them are probably just creating drama to keep their jobs. I think her main problem is she is always on the defense about everything which includes being Asian so she is always ready to attack and judge others. She is really annoying and doesn't add anything. It starts with her eating disorder. I don't think she is all that happy, either.

In most recent times, in the North Americas (Canada/US), I do not know for other countries) mail-order brides were attributed to Asian countries and I've read about this stereotype, especially when an Asian woman is married to a white man. In the 70s and 80s, black males marrying white woman also had a stereotype attached to them. Your comment about 'Crystal and Her privilege showed up on these shores' comes across ignorant and could be interpreted as racist. Crystal was born in the US to Chinese immigrants, which means she is first generation. About 20% of the American population is first generation, and the majority did not arrive 'privileged'. Her father was a surgeon if I recall; therefore, earned his wealth. Both child bride and mail order bride have very negative connotations and have to do with race.

Many seem to think Garcelle has gone too far talking about her observations and experience with Dorit, bigot or not, and that lately Crystal is doing the same, including me! I think what Garcelle and Crystal are saying has validity but enough is enough because Dorit won't change. So what. You're the only one that instead of just defending Dorit you have to defend the entire white race and accuse them of "using the race card" and this isn't the first time. (I wouldn't mention it now if it were just over and over the past few days.) Besides Dorit (who some "white people" don't claim because she says she's Jewish,) what or who are all these "white people" you are defending and why? Yet you have over and over accused other commenters of being racist because they make fun of your idol's looks because you think they are calling her black, IMO based on your explanations. Both are considered arranged marriages and often resulted in payment being exchanged to parents in return for their daughter's hand. A child bride definition is any woman under the age of 18. You would be shocked at the percentage that happens every day and many are 'mail-order' now Internet and it is common in both Africa and S/E Asia - under-developed countries, though still happens in much-more developed countries.

No doubt she is probably making a bigger deal out of something she has noticed that bothers her (and has every right to complain about) than she would in "reality". In reality, though, she wouldn't choose to hang out with someone like Dorit! So this is a workplace where some of them gang up to get rid of co-workers or to just target them. Crystal, Sutton and Garcelle are targets. I imagine both Crystal and especially Garcelle get tired of Dorit's attitude and crap she says. I know I've been tired of her crap since her first episode!

Kyle, Dorit, Rinna, Teddi (and Erika) were blatant about doing it with LVP and Denise and they did leave because of it. They've been doing it to Sutton and Garcelle and to some extent Crystal, too. Diana was there to assist apparently. Crystal is a mean girl inside because she is always on the defense and too judgmental, not to mention having emotional/mental issues, IMO! I've thought if the primary villains were fired, Crystal could be a type of villain but for now she is outnumbered. Ha! I agree that she was way out of line with Sutton in the beginning. That "violating" thing was ridiculous. With Dorit, it is like she took a stupid, rude, untrue remark meant to humiliate and assumed it had to do with her race. It may have been and I wouldn't be surprised if it factored in, but she is dragging it out too long, too. Dorit is probably intentionally instigating chaos, then playing dumb while hoping the targets make asses of themselves and it is kind of working. IMO. She works for Kyle. Gang ups have been the theme of that show for a long time and ruined it, IMO. Kyle was given a lot of power.

TBH I need to defend Crystal in Crystal/Sutton argument. as a person with eating disorder I can understand this situation. After exerting food your face is usually swollen, you maybe crying and nose is runny, your body is shaking. Imagine the shame that you have about the disorder and on the top of it someone walks in and sees the state you are in. I think that "violation" word was used because Crystal was covering up and didn't want her illness to come up in conversation.

Crystal is very defensive, very critical, very judgmental and very mean at times to a fault. It seems to be related to the same reason she has had an eating disorder most of her life. She has problems and is kind of disturbing to watch at times. I'd take her over Dorit any day, however!! I wouldn't care if she left, either and think she should with two young kids at home.

You are correct and that one continually finds a way to throw in stuff like that and the need to defend the "white people" in the past. I just saw it somewhere else a day or so ago. It wasn't even relevant. Being a Teresa fanatic is one thing but that crap has no place on a site like this. IMO I even agree Garcelle has dragged it out too long and Crystal is quick to judge (like with Sutton). I also think Garcelle was wrong to name call Dorit a derogatory slang word aimed at Caucasian women because it made her look petty (because it is derogatory slang). However, I think a few on this site use it as an excuse to show their "true colors".

Well, yes. It made her look foolish, IMO. I suspect this goes on all the time with Dorit and it might be intentional as part of performing her duties as Kyle's soldier. (Maybe not for much longer! Ha) It is also a workplace environment even though it doesn't seem like any rules are followed. So right or wrong, I think Garcelle took an opportunity to call her out publicly for her probably long term bigoted comments among other annoying things, but dragged it out too long. Bottom line, nobody likes working with Dorit it seems so hopefully they get rid of her. Faking PTSD is too much (and no, I can't prove it). I wish she'd get caught for insurance scam or whatever illegal dealings they may be involved with.

Respectfully disagree. Mail order brides originated in this country hundreds of years ago and had nothing to do with Asians. That is our history and yes, Crystal and her family are privileged. Her father the surgeon, made a very good living here (nothing wrong with that) which provided Crystal with an upper middle class upbringing. The point being that pointing the finger at white people and continually calling them privileged is bullshit as in ONLY white people have a monopoly on privilege. Not racist just facts.

In response to this post, I specifically stated 'in most recent times', not hundreds of years ago. Mostly due to the Vietnam War, mail order brides were from Asia. Post WWII was from Europe. My next comment was in reference to YOUR choice of words again, that her privilege arrived on the shores. In any understanding of China (not until the 80s and later), one rarely had privilege unless you were in the Army but my reference is most immigrants do not arrive privileged. I do not understand why you state she arrived privileged, what is the fact behind that. It is not my statement at only white people being privileged, I spoke about immigrants. That is on you. Yes, and I posted about the history of mail order brides dating back hundreds of years in THIS country. I was very clear about that. Crystal does not own that term just as Garcelle does not own the word attack. As for arriving on these shores privileged which is YOUR trigger, I should have said her family arrived on these shores with their ``minority`` privilege. Many here other than the one who has an obsession with Teresa, seemed to understand that without my having to clarify it. Crystal and her family identify as a minority which gives them opportunities and privileges that many others do not have. To jobs, government programs and education to name a few. That is a fact and one of those privileges also allows Crystal to point her finger at a white person and make accusations that she wouldn`t make against another person of color or minority. Even a white person such as Dorit who is a Jewess. She certainly wouldn`t have done it to Garcelle. Maybe her family came with money maybe they didn`t but the concept that all immigrants are poor and arrive with nothing is dated. Many come with great wealth. And that is on you.
