Lala Kent is expanding her family. Get all the details on the Vanderpump Rules star’s second pregnancy and why she chose to use a sperm donor.
Lala Kent’s family is growing. On Sunday, the Vanderpump Rules star took to Instagram to announce that she’s expecting her second child.
The Give Them Lala podcast host shared a black-and-white photo of her bare baby bump with her 2-year-old daughter Ocean looking up at it adoringly.
The reality TV star wrote, “I’m expanding my pod,” adding that there will be a “new addition to my little family.”
Lala Kent’s Vanderpump Rules co-stars flocked to the comment section of her Instagram post and congratulated her on the happy news.
Scheana Shay wrote, “ITS ALL HAPPENING!!!! Couldn’t be any happier for you. I love you and your family sooooo much!!!”
VPR alum Stassi Schroeder added, “I cannot wait to meet this baby. I love you,”
“I’m so happy for you!!!!!!! Love you guys so much can’t wait to meet this little angel!” Brittany Cartwright commented.
The Utah native became a mother for the first time nearly three years ago when she and her ex-fiancé, Randall Emmett, welcomed their daughter, Ocean.
One month after giving birth, Kent took to social media to reveal she had a difficult pregnancy that involved a health scare.
Since becoming a mom, Lala has said that having a baby was “the most amazing thing to ever happen to” her.
At the Vanderpump Rules season 11 premiere party, Lala Kent opened up about wanting a sibling for Ocean.
“That is the plan,” the 33-year-old told BravoTV.com at the time.
“And I think [‘Vanderpump Rules’] viewers will see another reason why I’m trying to practice a softer side because that is something that I’m actively thinking about doing and taking the next step… Ocean’s [almost] three, I’d like them to be close in age. She deserves a sibling. So yes, that’s in the cards for me.”
That same month, the Give Them Lala Beauty founder revealed that she planned to use a sperm donor to get pregnant.
“We’ve got all our ducks in a row. The donor is secured, which I’m super excited about,” Lala told Cosmopolitan.
“It took a really long time to find the donor because, you know, it’s strange… It’s like you’re shopping for your partner but only to have a child, so there’s a lot that goes into it,” she added. “But the moment I found this donor, it just spoke to me. He felt like my baby daddy. So that’s where we’re at. The moment I can go forward with the IUI, then we’ll be there.”
Vanderpump Rules airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
