Brandi Glanville’s Lawyers Slams Andy Cohen’s ‘Fake Apology’

Brandi Glanville accuses Andy Cohen of sexual harassment

Brandi Glanville’s lawyers clap back at Andy Cohen’s ‘fake apology’ after the RHOBH alums sexual harassment claim.

Brandi Glanville’s attorneys are not happy with Andy Cohen’s “fake apology” after the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum accused him of sexual harassment.

“Any boss who is clearly inebriated encouraging their employee by Facetime video to watch their boss have sex with another employee constitutes sexual harassment, plain and simple, under any definition, even one concocted by NBC,” Brandi Glanville’s lawyers, Bryan Freedman and Mark Geragos told Us Weekly in a statement on Friday, February 23.

Their statement continued: “Why is Andy Cohen getting a pass? Any other supervisor at Comcast/NBC who engaged in this behavior would be fired immediately on the spot. It is no excuse to say that this was a joke.”

As AllAboutTRH previously reported, on Thursday, February 22, Brandi Glanville‘s legal team sent a legal letter to  NBCUniversal (Bravo’s parent company), Warner Bros, and Shed Media in which the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum accused Andy Cohen of sending her an inappropriate video in 2022.

“Ms. Glanville herself has been a victim of sexual harassment at Bravo by none other than Andy Cohen,” the letter read. The letter was filed in Los Angeles and was obtained by numerous media outlets, including PEOPLE.

“In a video sent by Mr. Cohen to Ms. Glanville in 2022, Mr. Cohen — appearing obviously inebriated — boasted of his intention to sleep with another Bravo star that night while thinking of her and invited her to watch via Facetime,” the letter continued.

“Mr. Cohen was Ms. Glanville’s boss at the time and exercised complete and total control over her career,” the letter further stated.

Andy Cohen at the RHOSLC reunion

“This was an extraordinary abuse of power that left Ms. Glanville feeling trapped and disgusted. It is inconceivable that Mr. Cohen remains in his post in spite of this behavior and harkens back to the bad old days of Matt Lauer and NBC News when profits were prioritized over people.”

After Brandi Glanville’s letter hit the media and began making its way around social media, Andy Cohen apologized on Twitter, a.k .a. X.

The Watch Watch What Happens Live host insisted that the video was sent in “jest.”

“The video shows Kate Chastain and I very clearly joking to Brandi. It was absolutely meant in jest, and Brandi’s response clearly communicated she was in on the joke. That said, it was totally inappropriate, and I apologize,” Andy Cohen wrote.

Brandi’s allegation against Andy comes just months after she sang his praises while chatting with Page Six about her ongoing Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip drama with Caroline Manzo.

“Andy and I have had a ton of conversations because this is the first time I’ve ever dealt with anything like this,” she recalled. “This is new for me, and this is scary for me. He’s been very helpful, honestly.”

“He’s like, ‘It’s going to be what it’s going to be. Some people are going to probably see it and just say, ‘That’s Brandi being Brandi,’” she claimed of Andy. “‘Don’t be too hard on yourself.’”

Part one of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hillseason 13 reunion airs Feb. 28. at 8 p.m. on Bravo.

It's wasn't a joke. It's twisted Andy Cohen and this is how he rolls. He should be treated no differently than any other "boss" who pulls a stunt like this. Even if it is Brandi. Can you imagine what he's done to others?

Yep. This is the problem of ‘sexualizing’ the workplace. Once you open that can of worms, even your ‘jokes’ made to ‘low level employees’ can come back to bite you - as they should. The workplace is just that, the workplace. You are there to work, not hook up, not view and share porn, not harass others and not share off color ‘jokes’. And as such, the employer/employee power dynamic needs to be respected on and off the clock as well. I can’t call my boss an ahole to his/her face at 5:01 pm because I’m off the clock w/o expecting THAT to come back to bite me in the @ss. Neither should my boss be able to send me vulgar and crass materials while off the clock, ‘joke’ or not.

Brandi's lawyers are smart. This blanket of harassment covers EVERYONE in the HW world, so why should only her be blame for her own poor choices & behavior. Andy, you are up next. Caroline, U have something share to share with everyone? Roll that UGT5 footage. . .

I know that Brandi is not a sympathetic figure and I also (to a sane degree anyway) understand why, BUT this is bigger than Brandi. Do you want a work environment where your EMPLOYER can just casually send you obscene material as a ‘joke’? No? Then you shouldn’t tolerate ANYONE’S boss doing that because the more we turn a blind eye, the sooner that can be you, your daughter, your mother, your sister, your aunt, cousin, best friend whatever. And no, an ‘oopsie, sorry, it was just a joke’ non apology apology doesn’t cut it. If it doesn’t cut it for an EMPLOYEE (Brandi) who was tacitly or explicit encouraged to do so, it CERTAINLY should not under ANY circumstances cut it from an employer or anyone in a supervisory role. Period. End of. TEAM BRANDI!!!

I agree but Brandi isn't doing this to stop harassment in the workplace, she's doing this for $$$ because she's always broke with no job other than OF
