Andy Cohen Apologizes After Brandi Glanville Accuses Him of Sexual Harassment

Brandi Glanville accuses Andy Cohen of sexual harassment

Bravo’s Andy Cohen has issued an apology after RHOBH alum Brandi Glanville publicly accused him of sexual harassment.

On Thursday, Brandi Glanville‘s attorneys Bryan J. Freedman and Mark Geragos sent a legal letter to  NBCUniversal (Bravo’s parent company), Warner Bros, and Shed Media in which the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum accused Andy Cohen of sending her an inappropriate video in 2022.

“Ms. Glanville herself has been a victim of sexual harassment at Bravo by none other than Andy Cohen,” the letter read. The letter was filed in Los Angeles and was obtained by numerous media outlets including PEOPLE.

“In a video sent by Mr. Cohen to Ms. Glanville in 2022, Mr. Cohen — appearing obviously inebriated — boasted of his intention to sleep with another Bravo star that night while thinking of her and invited her to watch via Facetime,” the letter continued.

“Mr. Cohen was Ms. Glanville’s boss at the time and exercised complete and total control over her career,” the letter further states.

“This was an extraordinary abuse of power that left Ms. Glanville feeling trapped and disgusted. It is inconceivable that Mr. Cohen remains in his post in spite of this behavior and harkens back to the bad old days of Matt Lauer and NBC News when profits were prioritized over people.”

After Brandi Glanville’s letter hit the media and began making its way around social media, Andy Cohen issued an apology on Twitter aka X.

The Watch Watch What Happens Live host insisted that the video was sent in “jest.”

“The video shows Kate Chastain and I very clearly joking to Brandi. It was absolutely meant in jest, and Brandi’s response clearly communicated she was in on the joke. That said, it was totally inappropriate and I apologize,” Andy Cohen wrote.

A rep for Bravo refused to comment on the video.

However, a source tells PEOPLE:

“No one in their right mind would think that anything Andy was saying in that video was meant to be taken seriously. It was very clear that everyone was in on the joke.”

Oddly enough Brandi’s allegation against Andy come just months after she sang his praises while chatting with Page Six about her ongoing Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip drama with Caroline Manzo.

“Andy and I have had a ton of conversations because this is the first time I’ve ever dealt with anything like this,” she recalled. “This is new for me and this is scary for me. He’s been very helpful, honestly.”

“He’s like, ‘It’s going to be what it’s going to be. Some people are going to probably see it and just say, ‘That’s Brandi being Brandi,’” she claimed of Andy. “‘Don’t be too hard on yourself.’”

Part one of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 13 reunion airs Feb. 28. at 8 p.m. on Bravo.

“trapped and disgusted”??? I’m not buying it, she’s deflecting .That skanky lush has made a Bravo career of being the one who disgusted everyone around her. Brandi is a sad Hollyweird cling on, her 15 minutes expired decades ago.

I wonder which other Bravo star it was that Andy was going to have sex with. One has to assume it's a guy. Any guesses?

I "think" I read he said it was a joke and he was with another housewife but I can't remember who.

Anderson Cooper said some years ago prior to Cohen's becoming really famous that Andy always invited people to parties that didn't get along because he liked to instigate a fight between them. He got a kick out of it. It just really speaks to who Cohen is. I didn't see the video but Cohen has a mean streak and he's twisted.

He is. He likes the power. Every guy he has dated is 20+ years younger and just starting out in their respective career. He loves the power and to misuse it. Gross.

He is evil.

Andy is a hyper sexualized liberal male that likes to appear he is pro woman. He is not. He uses them and most seem to eventually rely on Bravo for a paycheck. (Dumb on their part). As long as they drunkenly dance like monkeys for him, they can stay. If they push his mis/fit agenda, even better. Even his parents are weird.

Joking or not, what the actual f*ck?! Who puts their employees in that position? What exactly are you supposed to do but awkwardly go along with it if you want to keep your job and/or continue to be in the good graces of your boss? How she reacted to it at the time is entirely beside the point. The point is, this is ENTIRELY inappropriate behavior by ANY employer in ANY situation, welcome or not. Period. Why? Because it’s leaving the fox in charge of the hen house in determining what is ‘welcomed’. Not to mention Bravo has the audacity to hang Brandi out to dry due to alleged sexual harassment/ inappropriate behavior and lookie, lookie what their golden boy does, oh but THAT’S ok?! No! TEAM BRANDI!!!
