Dorinda Medley says RHONY OG Ramona Singer has “found” her “happy place” in Palm Beach in the wake of her racism scandal.
Just last week, Ramona Singer made her first public appearance for Bravo after being disinvited to BravoCon 2023 in November. The RHONY OG was disinvited to the reality TV convention after texting a partial slur to a reporter while attempting to defend herself amid racism allegations hurled at her in Vanity Fair’s October expose on Bravo and the Real Housewives.
The Real Housewives of New York OG walked the red carpet at the Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: RHONY Legacy premiere. Ramona Singer’s appearance at the premiere was reportedly unexpected to everyone, including Bravo and her co-stars, following her recent racism scandal.
In Vanity Fair‘s October expose, it was alleged that Ramona Singer used the N-word in a conversation with a black crew member while filming season 13 of RHONY.
The 67-year-old also allegedly said that “most” black people don’t have present fathers in their lives. However, Ramona Singer insists that she “never” used the N-word but acknowledges that she did bring up a “study” she read about while discussing parenting.
Amid the controversy from Vanity Fair‘s article, the RHONY OG put her foot in her mouth yet again and wound up using the racial slur once again.
“And the word I used was ‘NWord’ Not n-g…,” the longtime Bravo star texted a Page Six reporter.
According to Dorinda, Ramona is “happy in her life” after her N-word scandal’s backlash.
“She’s happy. [Her daughter] Avery [Singer]’s happy. Things that are important to her [are] working out, and I think she loves living in between New York and Palm Beach,” Dorinda told Us Weekly. “She’s found her place and it’s what we all want.”
“The way she got this condo [in Palm Beach] and said, ‘OK, this is where I’m going to find my happy place.’ I think she found it,” Dorinda continued.
Sonja Morgan also chimed in on how Ramona is doing post-scandal.
“She just didn’t want to mess with happy,” Sonja, 60, added. “She was just, everything was rolling right off.”
Despite how well Ramona seems to be doing, her future with Bravo seems to be up in the air.
During day one of BravoCon 2023, which is being held in Las Vegas, Andy Cohen stood by Bravo’s decision to disinvite Ramona from the weekend-long event following her racial slur controversy.
“Well, I mean I think listen, not to dwell on it, but I think just the events of this week led to her not being here. I think it was the right call and period dot,” Andy told Page Six.
When asked about Ramona’s future with the network, Andy said: “Well, I mean, we already shot ‘RHONY Legacy,’ so you will see her there, yeah.”
RHUGT: RHONY Legacy is currently available on Peacock.
