‘Distraught’ Ramona Singer Fired From Real Estate Job After N-Word Controversy

Ramona Singer has been axed from her real estate job amid N-word controversy. The “distraught” RHONY OG is laying low amid the scandal.

This hasn’t been a good week for Real Housewives of New York OG Ramona Singer, and the hits keep coming!

Page Six reports that Ramona Singer has been fired from her real estate job at Douglas Elliman. A source says that the Bravoleb was fired from her job on Tuesday after an expose on Bravo and Real Housewives came out the day before and accused her of using a racial slur on RHONY during season 13.

The 66-year-old joined Douglas Elliman in November 2021 and announced the news on Instagram, writing, “It’s official!! I am so excited to get started.”

At the time, Douglas Elliman celebrated Ramona Singer’s hiring, creating an ad that said: “[Ramona] brings deep sales and marketing experience, fearless entrepreneurial instincts, and a singular sense of style to the Elliman family.”

However, by Wednesday, the link to Ramona’s profile on Douglas Elliman’s site said, “Page Not Found.”

In Vanity Fair‘s article, it was alleged that Ramona Singer used the N-word in a conversation with a black crew member while filming season 13 of the Real Housewives of New York.

As this bombshell claim from Vanity Fair‘s article made its way around social media and the internet, Ramona Singer attempted to clear her name, but that has seemingly backfired right in her face.

When Page Six contacted Ramona for her reaction to the allegations made in Vanity Fair’s article, she wound up using the racial slur once again.

“And the word I used was ‘NWord’ Not n-g…,” Ramona texted a Page Six reporter on Tuesday morning.

As a result, the RHONY OG was cut from BravoCon.

Meanwhile, Us Weekly reports that Bravo fans shouldn’t plan on seeing Ramona in the spotlight anytime soon as she is laying low amid this latest controversy.

“She’s very upset by all of this. She’s been distraught,” an insider reveals. “She will lay low right now.”

As for Ramona not attending BravoCon, there are conflicting reports about who decided for her not to attend the weekend-long reality TV convention in Las Vegas.

“Bravo execs didn’t say she couldn’t come. She had a conversation with them about attending, and she said she was not up for it and was too distraught,” the insider adds. “It was a mutual agreement that it wasn’t the right time. But ultimately, she made the choice that she didn’t want to go, and Bravo thought it was a good idea given everything going on.”

“Ramona was told she is not coming to BravoCon,” a second source says. “It was not her choice to not attend.”

When it comes to Ramona’s alleged racist remarks on RHONY, a source says her comments “were not directed at anyone” in particular.

“She is not a racist,” the insider continues. “Ramona and Eboni had their ups and downs, but she never wanted problems or issues with her. She always thought she was very bright and pretty and always wished her well. And she thought everything was OK between them.”

Ramona insists that she “never” used the N-word while talking with a black crewmember.

The Real Housewives of New York City is expected to return to Bravo for season 15 in 2024.
