Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent has a bone to pick with Bethenny Frankel following her sit-down interview with Raquel Leviss about Scandoval.
Lala Kent says that Real Housewives of New York alum Bethenny Frankel “exploited” Raquel Leviss during her first post-Scandoval interview.
The 32-year-old slammed the Just B podcast host for using Raquel Leviss to push her reality TV revolution agenda.
“Well, it was a hit. A lot of people listened,” Lala Kent said on Wednesday’s episode of her Give Them Lala podcast.
“I’m happy that [Raquel] finally got to take advantage of a giant platform to tell her story. I only saw clips. And what I gathered from it is, Bethenny completely exploited that girl yet again,” she continued.
Lala Kent’s co-host Jessica Walter noted that the entire interview “goes against everything [Bethenny] is preaching.”
“To me, she sat there and said, ‘this girl is going to be easy to manipulate because I’m Bethenny Frankel,’” Lala alleged, adding Bethenny tried to “place Raquel in the narrative” that fit her agenda against Bravo and NBC Universal.
“It was actually really sad to me because I really liked Bethenny Frankel. I felt like everything she said always made sense. She was a great arguer. She was extremely intelligent,” she said.
The Vanderpump Rules star went on to slam Bethenny for being out of touch with “reality” and “reality TV.”
“I felt like Bethenny really tried to push her into a certain direction,” Lala quipped. “And Rachel being someone who … is very easy to manipulate. You put words out there, and she’s like, ‘yeah, that’s how I feel’ [but] it’s like, you don’t.”
She added, “I don’t know why anyone would allow her to do that interview.”
Vanderpump Rules will return to Bravo for season 11 in 2024.
