Candiace Dillard is giving fans some insight into the upcoming season of RHOP and the intense drama that is set to play out.
During some recent interviews, Candiace Dillard discussed the explosive moments to come during season 8 of RHOP.
According to Candiace, the drama that goes down during season 8 of RHOP is unlike anything fans of the franchise have seen before, noting that the cast is as divided as ever.
Candiace explains: “Season 8 is different. There’s a clear divide. This season [is something] we’ve not experienced before. So you’ll kind of see us work through the division and how we get through it [and] if we get through it.”
The “Drive Back” singer adds that she “saw a lot of different sides of people this season.”
Apparently, Candiace’s RHOP co-stars surprised her in the worst way possible while filming season 8.
“People surprised me in the worst way. You think you know [people], and in moments of desperation, what the saints and the aints will do to save themselves,” the 36-year-old said. “It is a great season … but as someone who was in it, and toiling in the trenches, it was a lot [and] it was hard.”
Meanwhile, in a separate interview, Candiace addressed the viral physical fight between Keiana Stewart and Deborah Williams at the launch party for Ashley Darby and Gizelle Bryant‘s activewear line on July 13.
In a video of the fight, Deborah can be seen tossing a drink at Candiace, who then picks up a bottle of champagne and attempts to throw it before being stopped by her co-stars. At the same time, Deborah and Keiana begin physically fighting with their tussle, taking them to the ground.
Candiace recently discussed the fight on the So Brooklyn Radio show.
“This is what I will say: Self-defense all the way, all day,” Candiace said, per a clip shared by Queens of Bravo on Instagram. “A drink was thrown at my back … and I see this monster coming at me. There was no security around. She strategically waited for security and production to back away. I’m going to defend myself.”
She continued, “And I will pick up whatever is in arm’s reach if I feel like I am in some sort of danger, and I didn’t know what she was going to do. You can’t rationalize crazy or unhinged.”
The 36-year-old insists she was “physically attacked” and had no other option but to defend herself.
The Real Housewives of Potomac will return to Bravo later this year.
