Bo Dietl isn’t happy he’s been dragged into the drama on RHONJ. The private investigator opens up about his run-in with Joe and Melissa Gorga while denying that he ever investigated members of the RHONJ cast.
Private investigator Bo Dietl has a lot to say after he was dragged into the drama on the Real Housewives of New Jersey.
At the RHONJ season 13, Louie Ruelas denied accusations that he hired Bo Dietl to investigate his costars. Many members of the RHONJ cast insisted that Louie was lying, with some cast members claiming they had proof he had them looked into. Despite the claims, the “proof” never saw the light of day at the reunion – probably because they didn’t actually have any.
During a recent podcast interview, Bo admitted that he, Louie Ruelas, and Teresa Giudice have “been out to dinners many times,” but once again insisted that the New Jersey businessman never hired him to investigate any member of the RHONJ cast.
“Louis never hired us. And I’m very specific [about] how I say it, because there’s a reason. Louie never hired us to do any backgrounds on any of the cast members. I say it for a reason. Cause if he hired me to do something other than that, that’s a confidential investigation,” Bo explained.
The infamous private investigator then went on to open up about his run-in with RHONJ star Melissa Gorga and her husband, Joe Gorga.
“I was in Avra with my friend Burke Capone and a couple of my guys. And next thing is like, who’s sitting next to me is Melissa [Gorga] and some gal. She goes, ‘Oh, that’s the guy that’s following me doing all the events.’ I said, ‘Melissa, lemme tell you something. I’m telling you right to your face. That’s not true,’” Bo recalled.
He continued, “I said, ‘Where’s your husband? … Tell him to come over here.’ He sits down with me, and I said, ‘Let me tell you one time, okay, I never ever was hired by Louie. I’ve never done any background on you, Joe. If you can’t accept it, tough.’”
According to Bo, Joe Gorga made it clear that he didn’t believe him.
“When he says, ‘I don’t believe you’ … don’t call me a liar. Cause if you call me a liar, you know what I’m gonna do. I’ll investigate you on my own, my own dime, and I’ll find all your dirt. So let’s not have a little battle here cause you’re gonna lose. And that’s not a threat. All I’m saying is don’t call me a liar,” Bo noted.
He added, “If I did do it, where is the evidence? If I did all that, I’m sure Louis would’ve thrown it in their faces, but he never did it. And anybody that’s listening or anybody who’s online, think about it. If I did it, why wouldn’t Louis come out with it?”
Bo then explained that if Louie did hire him to investigate the RHONJ cast, the 48-year-old would be in breach of contract for mentioning his [hypothetical] investigation on the show. Bo also notes that he would NEVER do any investigation for free, adding that it would cost Louie hundreds of thousands of dollars to investigate every member of the RHONJ cast.
“The point is, we’re a private investigator. Confidentiality is the most important thing. So if Louie hired me and signed a contract for me to do backgrounds on the cast members, he would be under that confidentiality. So he would not be able to talk about that. Otherwise, he’d be in breach of my contract. If it’s gonna be a confidential investigation, you shouldn’t have any right to talk about my investigation,” Bo said.
He added, “For me to do investigations with all those cast members, Lou would’ve [had] to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars. Why would I do something for free in my business?”
Bo concluded, “Everybody’s got skeletons.”
The retired NYPD detective then addressed the RHONJ cast directly, giving Margaret Josephs a specific shoutout.
“I never did anything on you. So sleep well tonight. What’s her name, that blonde? Margaret, sleep well tonight. We didn’t do anything. So all those, all that cash that you stuffed under your mattress, don’t worry about it. Bo ain’t investigating you,” he quipped.
Production for season 14 of Real Housewives of New Jersey will start in late August.
