Ariana Madix is cutting disloyal friends out of her life! The Pump Rules star unfollowed longtime friend and former co-star Billie Lee on Instagram. This all went down after Billie released a statement on Instagram defending her friendship with Tom Sandoval amid his split with Ariana.
On Tuesday, Ariana unfollowed Billie on Instagram just moments after the Pump Rules alum posted a statement defending being friends with both Tom and Ariana amid their breakup. Turns out Ariana doesn’t want friends who play both sides of the fence in her life at the moment. Honestly, who can blame her.
It’s not like Tom and Ariana had a civil split – it was messy, ugly, and hurtful. Plus, Tom engaged in a seven month long affair with their co-star, and Ariana’s good friend, Raquel Leviss. No wonder Ariana is skeptical about some of the friendships in her life right now.
Billie’s statement came after she was spotted hanging out with Tom for the second time in a matter of days. The two first attended an event in Los Angeles on Friday they then grabbed drinks at a local cocktail bar near Tom and Ariana’s Valley Village home.
After fans blasted Billie on social media, she took to Instagram to explain her side of things.
“Tom and Ariana are my family, they have been there for me over the years and I wouldn’t be where I’m am today without them,” Billie wrote. “It saddens me that people are so fixated on picking a side. Both are human and are both hurting in their own ways.”
“I’m allowed to be friends with one of my best friends, who made a mistake, while still holding him accountable and not commending what he did. Anything else is extremely immature,” she continued. “There is a world where you can support and be there for both parties and that’s the world I choose to live in.”
She concluded, “Ariana seems to be in a way better place, I’m so happy that she is moving on and Tom is really working hard on himself. I’ll continue to love and support them, unconditionally.”
