Caroline Manzo is officially dunzo with the Real Housewives. The Real Housewives of New Jersey OG vowed that she will “never” return to Real Housewives after her “traumatic” incident filming season 4 of the Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip.
On the April 7 episode of Teddi Mellencamp and Tamra Judge‘s Two T’s in a Pod podcast, Caroline revealed that she is steering clear of Bravo’s Real Housewives universe following an incident while filming season 4 of RHUGT where Brandi Glanville allegedly bombarded Caroline with kisses without her consent. The incident resulted in both Caroline and Brandi leaving the trip early.
Season 4 of RHUGT was filmed in Morocco. The season also stars Vicki Gunvalson, Eva Marcille, Phaedra Parks, Camille Meyer, Alex McCord, and Gretchen Rossi.
When asked if she would ever return for another Ultimate Girls trip, Caroline replied, “Never.”
Caroline noted that she has not spoken to Brandi since they left Morocco, adding that the investigation into Brandi’s actions is now over.
She said that the entire incident was “very traumatic.”
“This is a really large onion with a lot of large layers, and I guess it’ll play out,” she explained, noting that Brandi’s recent tweets were “disappointing to me.”
In a series of tweets posted earlier this month, Brandi claimed that the incident between her and Caroline was complete “BS” and an “f–king setup.” She also alleged that Caroline was “fine.”
As for what it would take for her to return to RHONJ, the OG New Jersey Housewife explained, “I know over the years, multiple times I’ve been asked, this last season being one of them.”
She added: “It was something that I was done with, and happy to be done with, and I walked away for a reason. … For me to go back, it would have to be a number that was financially irresponsible to walk away from.”
Speaking of RHONJ, Caroline weighed in on the current drama between Melissa Gorga and Teresa Giudice.
To start, Caroline says she believes that Melissa and Teresa are done with each other for good this time around.
“I think so. I don’t know what happened. I know the cliff notes of what happened. There comes a point where you just gotta be like, like everybody’s gotta be sick of it at this point,” Caroline said.
Teddi then asked: “Do you think it’s Melissa or do you think it’s actually Joe and Teresa?”
She added, “Like they keep saying it’s, you know, it’s Melissa involved, but in my opinion when I’m watching it, I’m like, Joe and Teresa are the ones that really seem to have the issues.”
While Caroline admits that Melissa has been shady at times, she believes that the mom of three could only take so much of Teresa’s abuse before firing back.
“Melissa’s not wrong. Melissa’s not wrong. Listen, sometimes she behaves badly and sometimes when you fire back, you have a misfire kind of thing. But, Melissa’s not wrong. And listen, over the years, she’s done some crappy things, I would assume. But how much can you take before you start hitting back?”
She then added that years before RHONJ, Teresa would constantly bad-mouth Melissa and Kathy Wakile.
“But I remember years and years before tv that [there] would always be something said about Melissa. We were so conditioned to dislike her when we met her. And I apologized to both her and Kathy because we were so conditioned, almost brainwashed to dislike them before we met them. That we treated them poorly when they first came on the show. I apologized to them both since saying that, you know, that wasn’t cool, but I was conditioned to think that way.”
Despite her own issues with Teresa, Caroline admits she was happy to see Teresa and Jacqueline Laurita mend their friendship.
“I think it’s great. I think that they really missed each other and that’s where the venom came from because it came from a place of hurt. They really were very, very good friends. And as you girls know, the show gets in the way of relationships a lot. And I think that [their friendship] was a casualty of the show and I’m happy that they’re back together. I hope it remains that way and I hope that they don’t let the nonsense get in the way of things because they truly were very good friends. I’m happy for them both,” Caroline explained.
