Denise Richards rumored return to RHOBH has the Bravoverse in a tizzy yet there seems to be a very calculated reason for why the former Bond girl is returning to reality TV.
A new report from Radar Online, claims that Denise is only returning to RHOBH because she is desperate for cash.
The 52-year-old was spotted filming for season 13 of RHOBH on Friday, March 24 at one of Kyle Richards‘ infamous dinner parties.
After images and a short clip of the dinner were shared on Instagram Stories, Bravo fans spotted a place tag with the name “Denise” written on it. Denise’s voice could also be heard on a clip from the party that Kyle shared on her Instagram Story. This news elated RHOBH fans, who couldn’t be happier to learn that Denise was filming for the show.
While Denise’s role for the upcoming season is unknown it seems that Denise is hoping to snatch her diamond back in order cash in on a major pay day.
This rumored return by Denise comes almost three years after she left RHOBH over a pay dispute with Bravo.
A source previously told Page Six, that Denise departed RHOBH due to her demanding an “excessive” amount of money to return for season 11. Bravo denied Denise’s request which resulted in her walking away from the show.
“People think that she didn’t want to come back and that it’s because she got ‘mean-girled’ [by other cast members],” the source explained. “The truth is she did want to come back. But [Bravo] didn’t want to pay her what she asked for. It was way out of her pay grade.”
However, this time around Denise is willing to accept a lower offer to return for season 13.
Why? Well, it seems Denise and her husband Aaron Phypers are strapped for cash due to various lawsuits.
According to Radar Online, Phypers was recently sued for over an unpaid $190k loan from November 2019. While Aaron agreed to pay $11k in interest he was allegedly failed to make any payments on the loan.
As AllAboutTRH previously reported, in recent months, Denise has been vocal about her desire to return to RHOBH.
“I definitely would consider it,” Denise said on Sirius XM’s Jeff Lewis Live in February. “They haven’t approached me, though.”
Season 13 of RHOBH is set to star Kyle Richards, Garcelle Beauvais, Sutton Stracke, Dorit Kemsley, Erika Jayne, and Crystal Minkoff. There is also talk of Bravo adding 1-2 new Housewives into the mix but those reports have yet to be confirmed.
RHOBH is expected to return for season 13 in mid-to-late 2023.
