Wedding Aisle Drama: Gia Giudice’s Solo Walk Down the Aisle

Gia Giudice is giving her mom, Teresa Giudice, some significant props.

The 22-year-old says her mom showed real “strength” walking down the “alone” during her wedding to Louie Ruelas in August 2022.

According to the Real Housewives of New Jersey staple, she and her three sisters will never forget seeing their mom walk down the aisle.

“There [are] not many women that could say they walked down the aisle alone,” Gia tells Page Six. “And also, the nerves of walking down the aisle alone, like, I would’ve been freaking out!”

Many believed that Joe Gorga would walk his older sister down the aisle, especially since Louie asked Joe for permission to propose to Teresa in 2021. Joe, who skipped Teresa and Louie’s wedding with his wife Melissa Gorga, has since claimed that he was “never asked” to escort Teresa down the alter.

Teresa and Joe’s dad, Giacinto Gorga, passed away in April 2020. Their mother, Antonia Gorga, died three years prior in March 2017.

Gia reveals that she offered to fill in for her Nonno but says her mom believed she could do it alone.

“I was like, ‘Mom, I’ll walk you down,’” she explains. “But she was like, ‘I think I could do it. I think I got it.’”

Likewise, Gia praises her mom for “the strength that it took to walk down that aisle alone” before noting that she “looked so beautiful and so seamless doing it.”

“That was the best part,” she concludes. “And then, of course, [the fact] that I was able to help her with her dress…was really, really beautiful, too.”
