Cynthia Bailey has released a statement about her split from her husband, Mike Hill, after two years of marriage.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum confirmed the rumors about her and Mike’s divorce in a statement to PEOPLE.
“God does not make mistakes! I truly believe in my heart [that] Mike coming into my life was destiny. I jumped in, both feet first, and gave it my all,” Cynthia said.
“Although that journey has come to an end,” she continued, “I am so grateful for our continued friendship and the beautiful memories that we made together. God willing, I will find love again. Whatever is destined to be will be, and I could not be more excited for my next chapter!”
Cynthia added, “I pray my friends, family, and fans will continue to be along for the ride with me in this awesome thing we call ‘life!’ Thank you for your continued prayers, support, and well wishes.”
This statement comes just a day after reports and gossip surrounding Cynthia and Mike’s marriage surfaced online.
Fans first noticed that something was up between the former Real Housewives of Atlanta couple when Cynthia removed her married name, Hill, from her social media profile. The couple then did not publicly acknowledge their second wedding anniversary on October 10.
The Jasmine Brand then reported that Cynthia and Mike’s marriage was dunzo, noting that the former reality tv couple has been “separated for a while now” but are “amicable.”
“They really do love each other, and it wasn’t anything scandalous or anyone at fault…it just didn’t work out,” the source explained.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta will return to Bravo in mid-2023.
