Earlier this week, Bravo fans rejoiced to learn that Taylor Armstrong would be joining the Real Housewives of Orange County; however, the excitement was short-lived.
Later, media outlets clarified that Taylor would only be joining the OC Housewives franchise as a friend and not in a full-time capacity.
Naturally, fans weren’t happy to learn that Taylor would only be a friend of the Housewives for season 17.
“She is not holding the orange the fuck,” one fan said on Twitter.
“I wonder, do you think she could take a full-time role if she’s better than another cast member….Gina…..?” a second fan quipped.
Another fan shared, “Damn — only a ‘friend’? Womp womp…”
Other fans suggested that Taylor could earn her orange by the end of filming and steal either Gina Kirschenheiter or Emily Simpson’s spots. On the other hand, fans suggested Bravo just give Taylor an orange no matter what.
Only time will tell what Bravo decides to do, but it will be interesting to see Taylor interact with the ladies of the OC.
On Tuesday, Taylor released a statement about joining RHOC, saying, “I am excited to be on Housewives as a friend of the ladies. Orange County has been my home for the last seven years. I bonded with Tamra on RHUGT and have met Shannon and Heather. I can’t wait to meet the rest of the women and get going.”
Meanwhile, some fans would also like to see Teddi Mellencamp join RHOC.
Taylor Released A Statement
RHOC is set to return for season 17 in late 2022 or early 2023.
