The Bravoverse lost a good one earlier this month with the passing of Gregg Leakes.
While we don’t know much about Gregg’s cancer battle over the last months of his life, a new report reveals that his wife, NeNe Leakes, did everything she could to make Gregg’s final days “peaceful.”
On September 1, Gregg passed away with his wife of nearly 25 years by his side. This news came just days after the Real Housewives of Atlanta OG revealed that Gregg was “transitioning to the other side” following a long battle with cancer.
“You don’t know what we’re dealing with right now,” NeNe told the crowd at her Linneethia Lounge. in Duluth, Ga. “My husband is at home dying. I don’t want to say ‘Happy Birthday.'”
Now weeks later we are learning more about Gregg’s final days and everything NeNe did to be there for Gregg during his transition.
“In his final days, NeNe made sure Gregg got peace and quiet and was surrounded by loved one,” an RHOA insider reveals to Life & Style. “Giving Gregg a proper send-off was her main priority.”
“She did her best to make him as comfortable as possible at the end. It’s all she could do,” notes the source.
In June 2021, NeNe revealed that Gregg’s cancer had returned. Gregg spent six weeks in the hospital following cancer surgery. In 2018, Gregg was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer. He was in remission for two years.
Ughh still so heartbroken over Gregg’s passing. So sad. He was a good guy and is gone way too soon. Sending my love to NeNe, Bryson, and Brent.
