Sutton Stracke Apologizes to Crystal Kung Minkoff After Racially Charged Fight on RHOBH

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Sutton Stracke is owning it following a blowout fight with new co-star Crystal King Minkoff on Wednesday’s episode of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

The recently upgraded Housewife is apologizing after comparing Asian stereotyping to being called a redneck.

On Thursday, Sutton took to Instagram and issued an apology. She not only owned her lack of awareness but vowed to educate herself and do better in the future.

“Despite Crystal and my strained relationship at the time, it was disrespectful to interrupt her and not listen to her express her truth,” Sutton wrote.

“My life is blessed by the diversity of my relationships, and I am committed to become a better listener to understand the painful realities experienced by people of color. I am sorry. I will do better and be better,” she continued.

Crystal has yet to respond to the apology publicly.

The fight between Sutton and Crystal took place during a cast trip to Lake Tahoe, which was filmed in late 2020.

It all started when Kyle Richards recounted an argument she got into with co-star Garcelle Beauvais, who is black. She admitted that she didn’t know she was stereotyping Garcelle until they sat down and talked about it.

Crystal chimed in, saying, “As someone who’s not white, when it hits you from stereotypes, it can be so painful that you can’t see anything else.”

She added, “I’ve had friends who have said things to me — Asian comments and stuff like that —”

Sutton then cut Crystal off and said that she was trying to break the stereotype of all Southerners being rednecks, as she was born and raised in Georgia.

“Do you wanna talk about when I see dumbass rednecks on the TV, and that’s supposed to be me?” Sutton said. “And that’s supposed to be me? I also have a stereotype, but I don’t want to bring it up!”

Crystal called Sutton’s comments “insane.”

Their feud continues on next week’s episode of RHOBH.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.
