The Real Housewives of Orange County started filming and rumors surrounding Vicki Gunvalson being demoted to a friend of the wives have been swirling around. Vicki’s friend and co-star, Tamra Judge, has shown her support for Vicki. According to Radar Online, sources said, “Tamra feels really bad for her, of course. All of the ladies besides Kelly Dodd do.” Kelly recently addressed the demotion rumors with Flipping Out star, Jeff Lewis, on his radio show. Tamra feels bad that Vicki has been dealing with all of these demotion rumors. Who is going to be in the official cast for the Orange County franchise is a big topic of discussion right now!
Sources said Vicki is “absolutely crushed” after Bravo took away her full-time RHOC role. Vicki has been on the show for 13 years, she is the OG of the OC. Apparently producers were asking her to go from a full-time cast member to a friend. Sources said, “She’s been demoted, but she hasn’t agreed to take the offer. Vicki set herself up for this. It wasn’t just one particular incident. It was a culmination of a lot of different things over the past couple of seasons.”
Vicki had been stating that she was “in negotiations.” Vicki enjoyed a trip to the Bahamas with boyfriend Steve Lodge. She even went engagement ring shopping! Insiders are saying, “The ladies saw Vicki go through so many relationships and they do feel like she and Steve could have a chance of staying together if she leaves the show. From what I hear he is supportive of her leaving and wants her to focus on her health and her family.”
Sources said, “No one is surprised by her ring shopping incident and it is just very typical Vicki. She has to make up her mind about what she is going to do about the RHOC friend role offer when she returns.”
Vicki announced on Instagram she had indeed began filming for season 14 of the RHOC. Is she a friend of the wives or a full-time cast member? We’ll have to stay tuned!
I can’t picture the RHOC without the OG of the OC! I’m glad she’s filming for the show right now. I think that Tamra and Shannon definitely want Vicki to return. I think everybody does – except for Kelly. You never know what could happen with this crew, though. Maybe they’ll all end up besties again, anything is possible with these ladies. We’ll have to stay tuned, loves!
