Vanderpump Rules star, Scheana Shay, is SUR-ving up friendship! Cheers to that!
Scheana Shay and her ex-boyfriend, Rob Valletta, are still friends despite having an off-and-on relationship. According to US Weekly, Rob explained, “The real reason is it’s a real relationship. I’ve known her for 12 years, so we are friends. From friends, you can always kind of withstand anything.” He said they ended the relationship on good terms. So why did it end if they were a good pair? The reason it ended is due to Vanderpump Rules. Rob said, “The way we broke up, it wasn’t a bad breakup. It was just, ‘I can’t be in your world because I can’t trust what anybody in the cast is going to say about me in general.’ I just said the world is not for me. This is your world. If there is the right time, we’ll find the right time.”
After nine months of dating, they broke up in October of 2017. Scheana said they had “tried the friends with benefits thing, but it’s hard.” She revealed that they are still great friends but right now, “just timing-wise with where our careers are both at right now, it’s not a good time for a relationship, which we both agreed on.”
I think it’s great that these two have maintained a solid friendship! Sometimes the timing is right and you have to see what happens down the road. Whatever is meant to be, will always be. It’s understandable that it was hard for them to date with the reality show Vanderump Rules happening – because part of it revolves around the cast discussing everyone’s personal relationships. That is what a good reality show consists of, because that is what makes it entertaining. However; it can put a strain on your personal life and interpersonal relationships. Perhaps these two will get together again someday!
