Lala Kent Shares Real Reason She Bought Home in the Valley; Addresses Rumors She’s Joining S2 of The Valley

Lala Kent is opening up about her decision to buy a home in the Valley and addressing rumors that she is joining season 2 of Bravo’s The Valley.

Rumors have been swirling that Lala is in talks to join season 2 of The Valley.

Page Six recently reported that Lala Kent is in “early talks” to join the second season of Bravo’s new hit show, The Valley

“Lala is in early talks to join ‘The Valley,’” an insider revealed. “She is very connected with that cast. Those girls are her very good friends and mom crew.”

The source added that even if Lala does join the new spinoff series, she also plans to film the season 12 cast of Vanderpump Rules whenever it resumes production within the next year

“That’s her home,” the source said. “It’s not one or the other.”

However, amid the gossip, Lala Kent sets the record straight on why she purchased a home in The Valley.

“I bought my house in The Valley because it’s all I could afford. I would’ve liked to have been in the Beverly Hills Flats, b*tch, but I can’t afford it — yet. Okay? I did not move there because I wanted to be on The Valley. I moved there ’cause that’s what I could afford,” Lala Kent said on the May 13 episode of Give Them Lala.

Lala recently purchased a $3.1 million mansion in the San Fernando Valley. The 5,100-square-foot gated estate features five bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms.

The house also boasts a wine room, a huge backyard, a pool/spa, a fire pit, a sports court, and an outdoor kitchen.

While Lala Kent previously admitted that she’s open to filming for The Valley, she is happy that Vanderpump Rules won’t be filming amid her ongoing pregnancy this summer.

“I want to go back to Utah … I’m so thrilled to have the summer off,” she explained. “To say that I’m very glad that I not only get to enjoy my pregnancy through the summer, I get to do things that I don’t normally get to do. My niece and nephew are off. We’re going to have the best time creating new [memories].”

Earlier this month, Andy Cohen confirmed that Bravo was putting production for season 12 of Vanderpump Rules on hold for the summer.

If you’re a longtime Vanderpump Rules fan, you know that the show notoriously always films from May through August. However, that won’t be happening this summer.

“Well, I saw that. As y’all know, I don’t produce Vanderpump Rules,” Andy said on his SiriusXM radio show, Andy Cohen Live.

He continued, “Yeah, we used to do this all the time with the Housewives. We would say, “You know what? Let’s put cameras down for, you know, four or five months and come back to them,” and they will have lived, you know, life. Things will be different. I think that, you know, I was talking to Ariana about this on the after show last night. I was saying, people do forget, especially as it relates to Ariana, who was the one cheated on.”

“People forget that we picked up cameras a few, three months after she found out about that affair, so that’s why she’s still in the violently angry stage and you can understand that, so I always think it’s great. Look, sometimes you want to pick cameras right up quickly because there’s stuff happening and you want to get in there right away and sometimes you do want people to live their lives and see how things develop and you know, so, I think it’s a very good idea.”

Part two of the Pump Rules Season 11 reunion airs Tuesday, May 21 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.
