Things are looking good for the ladies of RHONJ! First Teresa Giudice was able to save their family home from foreclosure and now it looks like Jacqueline Laurita is about to do the same!
NJ.com is reporting that the foreclosure on Chris and Jacqueline’s Franklin Lakes mansion was dismissed earliest this month. If you recall, the foreclosure proceedings started last year with the lender saying they were not making their monthly mortgage payments of $10,846.
Jacqueline and Chris had been trying to sell the NJ home for some time, putting it on the market in January of 2014 (for the record they started missing payments in October of 2014.) It was originally priced at $2.85 million; however was later droped to $2.78 million before taking it off the market.
The Lauritas have hinted at money troubles on the show (and rumors have been floating around as well) so the news of foreclosure wasn’t a complete shock. We’re glad to see that Jacqueline and Chris were able to get their finances straigtened out and are able to keep their family home.
I’m curious as to how much of this will play out on this season’s RHONJ. Leagal woes and money issues are common themes for the housewives and was a central theme last season with Teresa. It seems like housewives are constantly accusing each other of being bankrupt or facing foreclosure; therefore I’d put my money on this coming up.
Are you surprised that the foreclosure on the Laurita’s home was dismissed?
