Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards threw a fundraiser on Monday’s past episode and shockingly all went well! Kyle took to her blog to open about fundraiser as well as adding that she refuses to address Carlton’s negative comments!
“Once again, I am so sorry for being so behind on my blog! Life has been a little hectic lately.
On Monday’s episode, I held a fundraiser for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles at my store. I was more than happy to throw this event for something that means so much to me. I do tend to get stressed when throwing a party and with this particular one, even more so. I have thrown fundraisers that were not a big success and didn’t want to have that happen again.
I was relieved that Brandi and Joyce put aside their differences for the night, as I had too many other things to worry about!
Having my daughters be a part of the modeling show was fun for me. Last minute my eldest, Farrah, and my nieces, Brooke, Whitney, and Kimberly backed out because they were feeling shy. I was grateful Brandi and Joyce brought friends to help model. Professionals on top of it! Yay!
At home Sophia is a force to re reckoned with. She is strong, confident, and opinionated. When I see her get shy like that, I can relate since I was the same way when I was a child. I think it’s important to step outside our comfort zone at times — especially when it comes to helping others.
I was beyond grateful that Jamie Lee Curtis came to my store for this event. I adore her! She is an amazing person who gives so much of her time to help others. Recently we met one morning for breakfast to sign Michael Myers masks (from the movie Halloween) that she was using for a charity benefit. Then I saw her again at a Children’s Hospital Los Angeles event, and we spoke about Mauricio and I becoming a First Family at CHLA.
Mauricio being sick as a child is part of why we got involved with CHLA, but it’s not the only reason. I think any parent can imagine how difficult it would be to watch your child suffer. What these children go through and what their parents go through is truly gut-wrenching. To think that we can be a tiny part in helping these children makes me feel happy. The night was a success and everyone enjoyed themselves.
Although many have asked me via Twitter about Carlton’s negative comments about me, I am not going to comment on that this week. I am choosing to only focus on the positive evening we had.”
Carlton has been negative about Kyle in all of her blogs so its nice to see Kyle just ignore it and not go down that road!
