Joe Giudice’s Bold Decision: Rejecting Prosecutor’s Offer

As we all know, Real Housewives of New Jersey‘s Joe Giudice has been fighting a legal battle to stay away from jail. He allegedly falsified his identity in order to obtain a driver’s license and was prosecuted, so now he is facing the New Jersey court system. The state wants Joe to do jail time, but Joe and his lawyer Miles Feinstein are trying to prevent Juicy from getting locked up! There was a hearing on April 1 and Joe was offered a deal of four years in state prison. Joe and Feinstein have rejected that plea offer and are headed to trial starting May 28! Feinstein is fighting because they believe Joe is being treated unjustly. He tells In Touch, “Joe is being treated differently. He shouldn’t have to do any jail time for this. The best outcome for this will be we win the case and he doesn’t do any time at all.” The original punishment for Joe’s identity theft case is 10 years in prison, so you would think he would take the four year offer! Teresa has remained hushed on the topic, tweeting all day long but only about the family’s Easter celebration! It seems outlandish to do so much jail time for that crime. Not defending Joe’s alleged actions, but there are people who do much worse and only face probation, fines, community service, etc.
